My husband, dog and I stayed stayed 3 nights overlooking the inner courtyard. Our room was spacious and we loved the balcony (so did our dog). We found the room to be very dark, even with all of the lights turned on. The room location was very quiet on the second floor. We were in town during an exceptionally hot period and were glad we didn't pay extra for ocean views because we would have kept the draperies closed to keep out the hot sun. We slept well although found the noise very jarring when other guests let their room doors slam shut. The bed was extremely comfortable but it was oddly unstable so that one person turned, the bed jiggled. The staff was so amazingly friendly and loved our dog, always greeting her by name. My husband played a round of golf on the South course which was a special bonus for him. We ate breakfast each morning at The Grill which was so convenient. Overall, we had a great stay.and highly recommend it.
"Incredible hotel, service and staff!"
I had my wedding at the Lodge at Torrey Pines and we had the most amazing experience. Everything was seamless due to all of the staff. I especially want to credit the catering sales manager, Marisol, since we worked closely with her months before the wedding. The service you get here is really 5+ star. We got upgraded to the presidential suite upon check in and staff members were working closely with my wedding coordinator to assure we had everything we needed. They definitely went the extra mile on everything and I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to San Diego. The restaurants are delicious and the hotel is so beautiful and relaxing, perfect for a getaway!
"Amazing beautiful lodge"
This is a beautiful lodge, with wonderful service and attention to every detail. The rooms were spacious and very clean. Decor is old world lodge Frank Loyd Wright. The food was very good in both the grill and AR Valentien. We went on a 3 day get away and enjoyed every minute we will be back.
This hotel is beautiful. You cannot beat the view, and the golf course and just the general calm ambiance that you feel as soon as you walk through the doors in the lobby. The staff are fantastic, and you genuinely feel well taken care of. The spa is great, bit pricey for me...but still one of the better massages I've had. Both restaurants are lovely (at The Grill get the tuna sandwich, and at AR Valentine the bourbon cocktail is fantastic). The one major con for me was the location. You definitely need a car to get there, and it is about a mile from the Miramar Air Station, which means there are fighters jets (loud loud fighter jets) flying over you all day long. Otherwise, and especially if you are a golfer...this is a beautiful home away from home that you can definitely relax in and enjoy.
Best relaxing and caring pedicure and manicure - Michelle has provided the most comforting and careful treatment. After taking good care of me, I decided to entrust her with giving my 89 year old mother a treat. Michelle was just amazingly capable and warm. The rest of the spa staff were very helpful as well. Lovely, clean, relaxing.
