Very well situated just off Charlotte Street. I stayed for one night with my son. The check in staff were very helpful. Our room was clean, wonderful soft pillows and super smooth sheets. Breakfast was excellent, lots of choice I could have stayed longer. Would definitely recommend
Stayed here as a couple for 2 nights. It wasn't what we expected at all. I get that old fashioned stuff can look quirky and cool but this hotel is so dated. The bathroom was like getting a shower at my Nan's need massively updating and quite rank. Amazing bath towels though. No fridge. Smallest TV ever. Staff where pleasant. We booked the hotel so we could pay at the property but they still charged 70% of the total cost to me card! Even though we paid cash on arrival. We was in 414 which is behind a double doors so you'd have thought it was quiet but it wasn't. No sound proofing. The lobby area is really nice just such a let down when you walk in to your room. Defiantly not a 4 star hotel. Amazing location though!!
"Excellent Small Hotel in Great Location"
As others have said, it's all about the location. Out of the main touristy areas and with the bustle and life of London all around Ye within walking distances to thousands of restaurants and Theatres. But a good location is no good without a nice room and good service. By booking direct we got free wifi which is otherwise a very high price. Breakfast is expensive so we ate very cheaply at any of dozens of cafes within Four hundred yards. We had a suite on the second floor which was on the smaller size but more than adequate and for a longer stay was for us very worthwhile. The staff were friendly and very helpful. All in all thoroughly recommended and we will be back.
"The best location !"
Walking distance to London theaters, restaurants, and shopping. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. No need to take their breakfast, there are nice places nearby with better coffee , and compared to breakfast in other hotels in London (Victoria park plaza, and the Cumberland) it is disappointing. The room was basic. But will surely return to this hotel because of its perfect location.
"Nice Hotel in a Great Location"
Spent three nights in this well kept hotel. It was a short walk to the Groodge Street tube station and Oxford Street. There are a number of decent little pubs and restaurants within the immediate area (block or two). While the price of the room I booked did not include wi-fi, my single room was very reasonably priced. The room was super clean and I found the bed to be comfortable. I was on the side away from the street so it was quiet, but the hotel is not on a busy street so I would assume all rooms are pretty quiet.
