"Good bed = Good sleep"
I paid my 1st visit to Shanghai on early May and Longemont was the hotel that I stay through the 5D4N Business incentive trip. The hotel itself in a Old Town area which hardly see any attractive shopping area around by walking distance. But beside this I was kind of impressed by the bed in the room. The room was nice and the parts that strike most point to me is their bed and pillow. Totally super comfort and easily get you to sleep in no time. The room that I stay was 41th floor which also provide me a dramatic view on the city day and night. The room wifi also fast and free that have no problem on watching streaming video online. Last - The breakfast provide you lots of choice as well. Is not consider delicious to me but with more choice display, I believe there are one or two dishes sure suit either one of the guess here.
A room with view (40th floor) A bathroom with a view on the city with bath and a circle shower with a window on the city A bed very large, even for two its very large The room service is very good and gentle Just Perfect , You can go without hesitation I recommend this hotel
Not very convenient for the English speaking business person. I struggled with everything from check-in, to breakfast, and finally check-out due to language barriers. First time I had so much trouble in all of my travels in Shanghai. It felt like I was staying in a minor Chinese city instead of Shanghai. Room was fine. Hotel is clean. Just frustrating having to work so hard to check in in such an international city. I will not return.
"Hotel not up to standards for Business"
Conducting business in the hotel during this last trip has been very difficult due to the lack of professionalism and standard of the team in the business lounge Most of the weeks, two girls on training were left on their own in the lounge to attend different queries: from room cards not working to request of assistance for admin help (provide envelopes, photocopies etc). A third of the staff in the business lounge is unable to speak or understand English. I am myself not a native English speaker, and have paid a lot of attention to the words used and made very simple sentences. They just look at you blankly. Also during the whole week, whenever I was passing in that lounge (about 5 times a week) I was asked for my room number. Although I could remember seeing the same staff members there every day. On 2 occasions the same trainee did not understand my room number and told me I could not access to the buffet. My colleagues also got told off because she took some food at 17:28 from the buffet instead of 17:30. This is a business lounge and we are talking about the reception. English is an essential vector of communication. I will spare you the flooding from the toilet in my room and the very poor quality of food for room service, as well as very expensive prices for water in the mini bar (nearly 10 dollars a bottle)
"Comfortable and great club room"
The Longemont is a very comfortable hotel and I stayed in the top floors with access to a private lounge. For business, this was a fabulous facility and a quiet place to meet and relax. Rooms were fine and only negative on this trip was reception staff stressed and too busy - not enough staff.
