The Gala hotel is located south of the island of Tenerife, close to several golf courses in the area, just 70m from the beach (with direct access), 800m from the bus station and 15km from the airport.

Stayed for a week and loved it, the gala is a clean modern hotel. Yes you have to pay €25 for use of the room fridge but you get plenty in the mini bar for your money theres also a kettle of sorts in the room which is always a bonus for me. Room is big enough as is bathroom and ac is great I always need this on much to my hubbys horror! We are not pool people so I cant comment on it but looked big enough going by what we did see, beach is also easy accessible via an entrance in beside the shops as McDonald's you come out literally straight across the road. The restaurant was good honestly you'd need to be really fussy not to find something you like I particularly loved steak night as you can request a steak to your liking I asked for it blue and it was the nicest steak I'd had in a long time. We found the staff all to be very pleasant and helpful. Would definitively recommended and we wouldn't hesitate to return. Nearly forgot as we barely noticed them even though it was happening right outside our balcony, yes there is building works going on but like i say we didn't find it a nuisance.
Lovely hotel, very clean, bar staff are to be taken with a pinch of salt, can be s l o w sometimes, all staff are very hard working, rooms are lovely. Had a bit of a to do on the last day, we went all inclusive, tried to get a drink at 10.30am, was told I’m no longer a/I, went to reception to ask & they said I was! So reception called down to the bar, after an argument between the manager & the barman, everything was resolved, I’f check out is 12pm then you’re still entitled as if you’re still in your room!
"Building nightmare "
Just spent a nightmarish day listening to a builders drill and sand the wooden rails around the swimming pool. No one told us the work was going to happen or even how long it was going to take I have since found out it will take months So beware of you are thinking of booking this hotel in the near future Jet2 rep wasn’t very helpful, just kept saying he would get back to us, still waiting ,very disappointed. Again today more building , more noise and again no information from the hotel or the rep. Totally unacceptable but no one here seems to care.
Was havin a very good holiday until monarch went bust, then not so good, hotel was not very understanding, we had to pay for our holiday again just to stop in the hotel, but hotel was fab, very clean and lovely rooms .
"Warning building site!"
I am writing this review 3 days into holiday. We were not told by Jet2 or the hotel about building work being carried out at the pool area. Today has been completely ruined by pneumatic drilling to break up concrete roof of poolside bar which is being demolished. At other end of the pool workmen have spent all day sanding down wooden frame all workers wearing masks and we the paying holiday makers sat in the middle of a building site. We approached jet2 rep who said they had not been informed of work. No notices of warning or apology from hotel. A truly horrible experience, would not recommend this hotel and am disappointed with jet2 as there are plenty of posters round the hotel showing their vision of finished refurbishment.
