"Relaxing and friendly atmosphere"
We stayed at the Luxe for our son's graduation from UCLA. What a lovelyproperty! The room was well appointed, and the balcony seating area provided a really nice and relaxing place to sit and begin and end the day. We didn't have an opportunity to make use of the pool, but it looks really nice. The service was excellent. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We usually stay in Westwood proper so we can walk around, but Ubers were plentiful and not too expensive, We would definitely stay here again.
This hotel is secluded among the green hills west of Los Angeles. It sits next to the 405 Freeway but you can hardly notice it. It feels like a mountain or country retreat. It is open, airy and trendy at the same time. It has an exclusive feel to it. Our room had a private balcony and was rather large for a double. Nice amenities and Keurig in room coffee. Downstairs they have fruity water most of the day. Early brewed coffee would have been a nice comp though. Manager: take note! The restaurant is open air. The hotel has two buildings. We stayed in the main area. The gym is smallish but the pool is very nice. Very convenient for the Getty Museum and UCLA. Brentwood Village is within walking distance and there are a few coffee places and restaurants there. I found it quaint and elegant for an L.A. hotel with none of the attitude of its competitors. The staff is nice and efficient. Great option in Los Angeles.
"Great location with a relaxed sophistication."
We were visiting UCLA for a college graduation and chose to stay at the Luxe instead of a nearby hotel that have used often in the past. The staff are professional and friendly from the valet to the front desk and we were treated very well. The grounds are beautiful and we found our room to be quiet in spite of the fact that there was a wedding reception on Saturday nigh. The rooms are very spacious, and nicely appointed. This is an older hotel that has been updated and there are some dated features such as doors the barroom vanity. We had a very nice breakfast in in the hotel; the food was good although the service was a bit slow. The pool area in the upper part of the property was a nice relaxing way to spend an afternoon. The pool is nothing special, but there is a large seating and lounging area on the pool deck with some cabanas that can be reserved. It was a good value and I will now choose the Luxe over the neighboring 'circular hotel' that we used to stay in.
This hotel is amazing. The place is very charming and comfortable. The rooms are large and well equipped and all the staff were excellent. The lady who is a cleaner was very pleasant. Good things to say about this hotel and everything is so lovely. The place is very clean and had everything we need, a quiet place, perfect to rest. The pool area was great! The hotel is highly recommend for anyone looking for something cute, quiet, comfortable and very modern! Great location, lovely setting, nice rooms with a private patio. Friendly people including all staff. Close to downtown, restaurants and grocery store but still a quiet spot. Near from Barrington Walk, that is the place near with great restaurants and stores. Overall a great hotel and we will definitely return.
Anyone with a student at UCLA could not do better than stay here! Very nice accomodations, and extremely pleasant, helpful, and courteous staff who truly go the extra steps to make your stay run smoothly.
