"Great LA boutique hotel"
Travelled to LA to see an old friend and stay nearby their home. The Luxe was an unexpected delight. Check in was easy and the room was terrific - at the upper group of rooms. Accommodations were great, quiet, sophisticated and a nice outdoor pool. Good food and drinks. Super comfortable and would totally stay again. Also got a very nice deal staying on the weekend with a good discount and credit toward food and bev.
"Quiet respite off Sunset"
I booked this hotel on Travelzoo and would definitely stay there again. Rooms are very spacious. It’s set off the highway in a lush, flower-filled resort-like area. The fitness center has deluxe equipment. The pool looks inviting. And sun fills the restaurant at breakfast.
"Good hotel, poor layout"
Everything about this hotel is excellent including its location. However, there is a separate set of room up a steep hill that is accessible by only foot or golf-cart shuttle--rather inconvenient--which is why the rating above is less that five. Additionally, the staff is both friendly and helpful.
Lovely property tucked into a hillside. Rooms are spacious, quiet and well appointed. Beds are comfortable and the air conditioning is quiet! Hotel has easy access to anywhere as it is just off the 405.
"Great location, amazing staff"
My wife and I stayed here recently for a 5 day long weekend. We’re picky about hotels, and this one was great. The easy things are the location, the view (try and stay in then “upper” building if possible), the super comfortable bed, nice shower head, etc. Honestly, however, it’s the staff that made the difference. We actually had a number of weird problems at the hotel: from a loud and unruly neighbor to a clogged tub when we checked in. I’m pretty shy about complaining, usually, and am reluctant to do so (the next time I send a meal back at a restaurant, for instance, will be my first). Some of this stuff had to be addressed, though, and the staff was all over it. I received a phone call and a really nice note on our last night there from the front desk supervisor, Hustina. For me, this kind of personal attention makes all of the difference. We felt like valued customers, and we would definitely stay at this property again. One other thing - the Sunday brunch at the hotel restaurant was pretty amazing. It’s not cheap, but it was fabulous.
