"One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at"
I loved this hotel and in my entire travelling memory, this place was the best place I have ever stayed at. It's a short ride from the airport. There are shops in the hotel lobby (or connected to the lobby) including Starbucks and Hertz car rental. The lobby is spacious with a very tall ceiling that makes it feel even more spacious. The room we stayed at was on the 14th floor with a very nice view of water and Coronado bridge. It was very big and had a foyer, multiple drawers and large closet. The room was very quite and the sleep quality was great. Free internet was fast and reliable. There are multiple pools in the building including kids' pool, an outdoor pool and hot tub.
"well maintained and great service"
For a very large hotel this hyatt is very well run and updated. even though there are two towers everything is pretty well situated. If you want a large hotel i think this would be a great choice! The first day I called to get some extra amenities like a makeup mirror, ice, etc. It was delivered quickly, and with a smile. check in and checkout a breeze. recommend for sure.
"Mixed feelings "
Check in is at 4pm so I expected our room to be ready, it was not, we had to wait until after 18:30 and that was with two trips to reception to hurry it up. After a long days travel waiting around for the room was not a good start. The hotel is huge and is obviously built for the conference trade. The beds were comfortable, breakfast is extortionately priced as is the parking. The gym is great, the hot tub lovely but the pool a little cold. The breakfast staff were fantastic. I would not personally pay to stay here again but if my business was picking up the tab I would!
