"Sterling service and kind hearts"
I have been staying at Mandarin Oriental numerous times over at least a decade and I have always likes the place. Last night was very special however. This time my family and I are in New York and not even staying in a hotel. My daughter was scheduled to leave in the morning for Boston to attend a summer program for high school kids in Harvard. As sometimes happens when you deal with kids and paperwork, only literally last minute we did figure out she needed a hard copy print out of some form right there and then. And then was well past 1 in the middle of the night. Happily for us, we were next door to MO. Despite the late hour, the gracious reception team offered their help, allowed my nervous teenager to log into their system and got the desired document neatly printed out. Thank you Mandarin Oriental and special thanks to Anita. You guys are the best.
Not a detail is overlooked at this hotel. It's location is ideal, the rooms are very spacious and quiet and all the hotel staff were extremely kind and caring. The chicken curry I ordered from room service was delicious. I didn't have a chance to use the spa, but it looked lovely!
"A night out in my own city"
I've always wanted to experience a night of luxury and romance in my hometown. On a whim, I decided to book a weekend and enjoy the Mandarin Oriental and the spa facilities. This was one of the most extraordinary and memorable experiences I've had in a long time, and it was a pleasure to have it in my own backyard. The rooms are luxurious, the views of Central Park and the surrounding skyline is impeccable. The service was simply the best. Whether you're staying for a few days or you just want a weekend away, the views alone are so worth the reservation.
A very nice five star hotel located by the park. The hotel has great views of the park and the Hudson River. Shopping is located on the first few floors which makes for fun during your down time. hope you agree
"Excellent location;lovely room and views"
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in late April. Close to the Metropolitan Opera, Central Park, subway and Broadway. Easy walk through the Park to Guggenheim, Frick, and walkable to MoMA. Staff are very courteous. Bill at Concierge was quite knowledgeable. Breakfast was a bit mediocre but the view makes up for it. When we return to NYC, we'll stay here again.
