"Must visit in Singapore"
Marina Bays Sands is a must visit... The rooms ..the view from rooms...the hotel staff and the food... everything is extraordinary...The infinity pool is just breathtaking. Kudos to the entire management team.
"Unique view from hotel roof"
Very nice hotel to stay. The best is the unique view from hotel roof, especially during the night. So if you are looking for a bar to have a drink then pick one of those roof bars, is is a memorable moment - very nice drinks & breath-taking view on the downtown.
"Spend a night here. You won't regret it."
We are fortunate in that we have family in Singapore and so we always get to stay with them. This trip, we were going on to Bawah afterwards, we decided to stay at a hotel as they were out of the island. My wife had no doubts as to where that should be. That hotel with the three towers. What is it called' We found out. And booked it. Yes it is pricey but it is one of the must do's. We arrived from the airport in a taxi, but to the wrong tower! A walk through the massive lobby to the right check in. A smooth check in, a confirmed late check out time, an upgrade, and then we were off up to the 33rd floor. Fantastic views over the financial district and a large room and bathroom. The lavatory is a little dated but the rest of the room was great. We went straight up to the sky park for a look at the pool. We only took one room card and you need both to get to the pool. We went and got the other one and then went through the gates and to the pool. The pool which is maybe 10 metres wide seems to stretch the whole length of the three towers. It is split in three with one pool for adults only. No children. It does get busy but so do other major tourist attractions throughout the world. We had a quick snack and a glass of champagne. Not bad value at £50. In fact people complain about the cost of going up to the sky park. You have a choice. Either a room for the night which will get you access to the pool. Or S$23 - I think - for access to the top deck but not the pool. The Shard in London was just shy of £30 for access to the top deck. As a one off it is worth it. The sun started to set and so we settled down to watch it and take a few snaps. Well loads actually. Including sin of sins a few selfies. Having watched the other tourists, mainly Asians, we also indulged in a few v signs. Then off out to the sights and sounds of Singapore. A meal at Newton Circus, a walk back from the Merlion, stopping for ice cream, a free concert, the heat, the smell, the flavours of the East. Then a really comfortable night at the hotel. In the morning another look round the top deck. The views. Another walk but this time out the other side to the horticultural side of things. Stunning design, foresight to build these things, I fell in love with Singapore. A late check out as promised. Will I return' Probably not. But I would go there for the first time.
I had recommended this hotel to a visiting acquaintance with high expectations. The appalling service left much to be desired. We had done what we believed was an early check-in at 2pm, and were told to return later at about 245pm for our room to be assigned. When we returned, only half the available counters were opened serving the 3pm check-in crowd. When I approached a staff at the completely-empty checkout counters, I was told to get in line at the check-in counter queue, which was packed to the brim. This was despite the fact that we had been assigned our cards, and were just awaiting our room number. For an establishment that is supposed to be a Singapore icon, the grim look and response on the staff's face was a slap on the face and an embarrassment for me as a Singaporean. Why were all the checkout counters left completely empty instead of being used to help ease the crunch at the check-in area' I guess the ranking on TripAdvisor says it all.
OMG, what can I say' My girlfriend and I decided to indulgent on a recent visit to Singapore for a night at Marina Bay. This is a MUST do and once in a lifetime opportunity. Whilst the security on the roof top is a little over the top, everything else was amazing. The place just buzzes, and is very busy - the views are nothing short of spectacular. If you can visit and spend a night there, you really should. It has everything you could imagine and more!
