"Hurricane Relief visit "
Thank you Cory and Lee and our condo housekeeper. Thank you for your hospitality. After being without power we needed a break. You were all wonderful. Renew and recharged we are back to dealing with Hurricane Irma's leftovers and worrying about our family in Puerto Rico. Thank you Marriott and your amazing staff. ❤️
I come here every year for one month each time. I love this place because all property is spacious, the rooms are very big, and from this year, fully renovated ( I don't know if all rooms are renovated but mine 6542 is new). It's a very green property and absolutely well manteined, everything is clean, all paths, all parkings are clean, the gardens are perfect, I see gardeners working every day. You can choose from three swimming pools, one small and calm, if you just want to relax without many children, one middle size, the Island pool, surrounded by trees, where is easy to find shade, not as calm as the smaller one, but not very noisy. But from september to october there are some works close to the swimming pool, and the noise is very loud. This morning I tried to remain there, but after 20 min I changed the swimming pool, it was not possibile to remain there, too too noisy. The third swimming pool is the principal one, is the biggest, close to the shop and restaurant. It's more noisy, and there is no shade at all. Now I want to talk about the staff, I always thought they were awsome, they are always helpful and smiley. I was in this property, and I'm still here till october, during Hurricane Irma, and I have to say that the staff was super! Some days before the Hurricane arrived on tv, hotel channel, there were some tips about how to be prepared to the hurricane. The day before Irma arrived the staff called me to ask if I had food and water in my villa and if I had a flash light. I didn't have one so at the consierge they gave me one flash light and three Emergency lights. Even if all the city was out of power, thanks to the property generators we had water in villas, the keys of the rooms worked even if they are electric and the safe also worked. The day after Irma passage they gave to the guests a room where was possibile to charge cellphones so it was possible to remain in touch with relatives and friends. From the day after Irma passage, they worked to keep safe the property. The gardeners cut the unsafe tree branches. After few days is as Irma has not passed. I want to thank you all because I always felt safe, from the beginning to the end of Irma passage. Thank you for all your hard work!
"NO Support for Guests filthy chairs"
We rented a 2 bedroom that was large but old furniture that had stains from the years that was pretty disgusting to sit on at times. We stayed during the hurricane that made things worse. I understand that Marriott does not control the weather but they knew that it was coming and did not even have basic preparation such as a generator for people to power their cell phones to call the outside world. Worst is that management did not inform us that just a couple of blocks away there were other less expensive Marriott with full power and air conditioning. To top it off they charged FULL fee for NO service for 3 days during the hurricane. No maid, No electricity no air, no pool NOTHING. I asked for a basic discount since it did not cost them anything to warehouse us but they said NO. GO elsewhere and DO not buy a time share here, you are better off at Disney that has their own power base.
"Disney World Trip"
It is nice to stay on Disney, but with a five day hopper I would rather stay in a condo where you can relax, swim in the pools, and sit comfortably after a very long day at one of the Parks. Harbour Cypress is in a great location and has five star amenities that gives you a very peaceful setting after a hectic day of Disney. It is totally worth the parking at Disney and travel back and forth for a relaxing evening or morning while visiting Disney.
"What a wonderful stay!"
We stayed here the 2nd to last week in August and loved it! We were in Building 64 on the top floor near the Island Pool. The 2-bedroom villa was renovated recently. It was beautiful and so spacious for my family of 4. We had a great view and loved eating meals on the porch overlooking the water. We visited both the Island Pool and the Clubhouse Pool daily and we really enjoyed both. The resort is beautiful to walk around. I loved all the little seating areas and nooks around the waterway. The kids tried out the arcade and we played miniature golf (which is free) one evening. The resort is very close to everything you need. Near restaurants and grocery stores and a 10-15 minute drive to any of the Disney theme park/attractions. So very relaxing! We will be back!
