"Top of the Line"
We have stayed at many Marriott Vacation Club properties around Orlando and around the U.S., but none have been better than Cypress Harbor. The staff is friendly and accomodating, the grounds are immaculate, and the villas are attractive and comfortable. We were in Bldg 70 which is at the back of the property, It was a 5 minute walk to a sauna, hot tub or pool and we passed a pickle ball court on the way. With the walkway across the lake, we could be at the Welcome Center or Market Place in 10 minutes or you can always drive. The advantage to being in the back is that it is very quiet, which is important to me. Zero road noise! There are a variety of activities for young and old and the property is centrally located to shopping restaurants etc so that it is not a long drive to Disney. We played pickle ball for the first time and loved it. Walmart is under 15 minutes and a Walgreens and CVS are both 5 minutes or less. Applebys, Panera, Pizza, KFC, Dunkin Donut, etc are all minutes away. The two-bedroom units are spacious and equipped with a full kitchen and full-size washer & dryer. We loved sitting on the screened in balcony. This is my new favorite Marriott Vacation Club property, though if you have small kids or grandkids, Marriott Harbor Lake might be a better choice in the warmer months. It has an amazing water park, water slide, & pirate ship for the kids. Marriott Harbor Lake is directly across the street from Cypress Harbor.
Excellent spot. This was our second time staying at this resort. Staff is extremely helpful. Villas are larger than others we've stayed at. Pools are clean and heated. Overall, great experience as we usually have with Marriott. Going to try across the road at Harbour Lake this year.
"Coming Home To Excellence"
My wife and I have often stayed at Cypress Harbour but haven't been here since 2006 [ a fact that shocked both of us when I looked it up] . It felt as if we were coming home but to a very new experience. They have maintained the beauty and layout of the property while adding or enhancing aspects that made our experience a superior one. Our villa has been nicely updated , the nature trail has been improved and completed , the food and beverage services have also been improved and various touches have been added around the property. My wife and I walk quite a bit and enjoyed a daily excursion around the area. We paid particular attention to the activity center as we'll be back next year and also have a villa reserved for one of our sons with 4 grandchildren. The center seems to be a focus of things to do for a wide age range. This is important as we plan to return in 2019 with another son and 2 older grandchildren. There was a full schedule of programs for all ages and we enjoyed some of them. We appreciate the level of friendliness and efficiency that pervades all levels of staff whether it's front desk , housekeeping , security or the managers that we had the opportunity to meet and talk with. Spoiler Alert: We are owners and purchased our first week in the Vacation Club in 1994 after much deliberation. It took us one day in 1995 to decide to add another week at Cypress. We are thankful to be able to enjoy such a great property and look forward to many return visits.
"Great Place to Stay"
I stayed here with two of my co-workers during the International Builder Show. The Villa was spacious and clean perfect for all 3 of us. The staff was friendly and I would like to give a shout out to Denise. I ran in to her a few times coming in and out of the market. She was so pleasant and kind and always asked if I was enjoying my stay. I would definitely recommend this place to others.
"A nice place to stay off-property"
I have a lot to say about this location, so I will break it down into categories... Staff upon arrival - When my mom and I went in to check-in, we came across two women working the front desk. To say they were miserable would be an understatement. They did not greet us, and our checking in seemed to bother them. I had rented a stroller and asked if they knew if it had arrived yet. The one woman responded, "If it did, it's down there to the right." They told us our room, wrote it down, and we were on our way. Finding our room- This resort is huge. It's is a little overwhelming, When we arrived at our building, and approached the room we were assigned to, we found that our keys did not work.I found a worker and they directed me to a phone. When I called the front desk, again coming across as "annoying them", they had started that they did not tell us the room that was written down three times, but a room up three floors and nowhere near where my family and bags were waiting. The villa- The villa was very nice. They have a laundry room, a nice size kitchen, living room, and two bedrooms. The outside deck was also a nice touch. Location- The location of the villas is close to everything: grocery store, local restaurants, outlets, and all of the parks....and not far from the airport. Questions directed towards the hotel staff- I came across two issues and had to stop in at the front desk, hesitantly. I met Lee who was extremely helpful both times. He was more than willing to help the one night I went, and then was there bright and early the next day just as eager to assist me/answer my questions. There was also another gentleman that helped the one night I ran in to ask about a fax I was waiting to receive. Food/Drink/Pool/Gym- We did not utilize any of the concessions, pools, or gym during our short trip Overall,I would return, but I would request not to be so far into the resort. I am scoring with average, but if I could score Lee as an individual staff member at the villas, I would mark him as excellent.
