"Fabulous marriott staff. "
I came to the Marriott to charge my electric car. I phoned the fabulous staff the night before who parked a car in the bay to keep it for me overnight. They then moved it for me to allow me to charge. It is free to charge here and only £11 per 24hrs to park and they don’t mind how long you park for. Only £7 for a taxi to the airport too. Well done Marriott. Far better than the rip off airport car parks !! You are the future !
"Improving. Refurbished rooms look good."
It finally looks like the Marriott Manchester airport is turning a corner. Impressed with the refurbished rooms. Very stylish. Service throughout was fine, with no major hiccups. Be great to see the bar area refurbished next. Hopefully it's in the pipeline. An added bonus is the excellent San Carlo eatery next door.
"Saturday Night Stay"
Myself and my other half stayed here for a flying over night visit due to a Works party at the nearby Concorde Conference Centre. The hotel is extremely well presented, perfectly located to the airport and the Concorde. Our room was spacious, clean and had everything you need to make your stay perfectly comfortable. The only thing I found slightly confusing was finding our room, they give you a map on check in which may I add is absolutely genius. Overall the hotel was perfect. Thank you to everyone who made our stay that little bit nicer. We will be back.
Booked here before early morning long haul flight. Very large hotel near airport, check in was smooth, but layout confusing - down stairs then upstairs, nice garden courtyard area. room looked good but smelled musty. Beds were comfy, shower hot, tv worked and had large screen. Buffet breakfast next morning delicious all perfectly cooked and fresh.
"Poorest service ever!!"
We stayed here 1 night before our flight. Check in was ok and room was fine for the one night we needed it but had no phone signal and no free wifi at all. I had to go to the bar area and outside to speak to my family. When we checked in we ordered our taxi for 8:45 the following morning (transfers were included in the offer). We arrived in reception at 8:35 to check out and wait for our taxi. At 8:55 there was still no sign of the taxi. I went to check at reception and was abruptly told it has been ordered. At 9:10 I went to check again to be told it will arrive when it can and there was an "incident at Manchester airport causing the delay". At 9:20 I again asked if another taxi can be ordered as we are now 35 minutes late to be told that if I order once I will need to pay again for it and due to the incident the taxi is a little late but will be here when it can be. When I enquired what the incident was I was just told it's an incident. (This day and age, this is poor terminology for what appeared to be roadworks and traffic buildup!!) Anyway, 45 minutes later, the taxi turned up and took us to the airport. The car was fine with plenty of parking spaces. The return taxi process was not quite as explaned when we checked in and another 30 minute wait to get back to the car from the airport. Overall, a decent hotel for a nights stay but a really poor customer service that means I would not recommend or use this hotel again.
