"New Concept Marriott - Not Impressed"
I picked this hotel as the conference I was attending was being held there. The property was recently renovated. I arrived hours before check in and the front desk staff was exceptional at getting me into a room relatively quickly. The hotel room was spacious and comfortable. My biggest issue with this property is no room service. For the money per room, they need it. I was told it's their new concept. If this is the new concept, I'd skip Marriott's in the future. There is a bar but it opens at 4:30 p.m and it serves food. They also have an area to get pre-made items and water next to the bar in the lobby area. I don't like touching food handled by others as they pick it up and look at it and put it down. No thank you. The best part of this hotel is the staff which was fantastic. I'm less than impressed with the new concept.

This hotel is nice, clean, and convenient to many things to do in Brooklyn. My favorite part of the hotel was our check-in experience. Cheryl was the best! She was so accommodating. She had many recommendations for us. Seeing her while going in and out of the hotel, she always kept a smile on and asked us if we needed anything. If you happen to get checked in by her, tell her that her Maryland girls said hi! :)
"Great location, easy trip to Manhattan, comfortable bed!!"
Enjoyed our stay here. The staff let us check in early and we had a comfortable room. It is convenient to restaurants and coffee shops, and the subway to Manhattan is just a couple blocks (5-10 min walk, tops) away. The bed was super comfortable...wish I had the same at home!! My only complaint was the room overlooked the alleyway and the building behind us was under construction...so the 7 am “alarm” was the crews starting work, and we could hear delivery trucks backing up during the night. I should have requested a different room for that, but the rest of the stay was wonderful.
"No Pleasure in this stay"
Waited over 4 hours for room to be made ready. Granted check-in was not until 4:00pm, but was told it would not be more than an hour........ No amenities in the room, mini-bar,robes, etc.... does not even have a restaurant for room service. Cleanliness was sub-par. For the price we could have stayed in a "good location" Manhattan hotel, with all the amenities. Might be good for low level business travelers, but definitely not for pleasure or even basic level traveler level amenities. Also, watch out for poorly placed door stops in room.... breaking a toe on one placed in front of the closet is not fun!
"Great hotel with lively lobby"
Stayed 2 nights. Service was friendly, room was clean and comfortable. Love the lighting system that was of industrial type and unique. Upgraded to use the M lounge with free snacks, beverages and breakfast. Not many great restaurants within walking distance except the Queen Italian restaurant along Court St. Found that Brooklyn bridge area has many governmental buildings.
