No room service on premises; Bed not comfortable; Unexplained alarms sounded during afternoon (not fire, but over security intercom). Location is not fault of hotel, but not much nearby for sit-down dining options.
This was basically just a sleeping spot on our trip, but it was the least favorite of the hotels we stayed in. Lighting in bathroom was terrible, curtains didn't close--had to prop suitcase against window and mattress was mediocre.
Clean and quiet room in South Wing. Cooperative staff. The accommodations are first class. If I had one thing to say that would improve the property, it needs a restaurant. There used to be one but they closed it. I frequently use this location to meet with clients. I believe this is one of the better hotels I have stayed at in the city.
I love the position. Not far from JFK.The Metro is very close and U can reach Manhattan easily. Rooms are big and clean with a nice toilette with a big shower. Check in is fast also if sometimes quite busy. People are ok and always available. For a business trip is perfect.
"Big hotel room in Brooklyn"
We had a room with two queen beds on the 19th floor. For the greater NYC area, the room was huge! The staff was very nice and helpful. The doorman even helped us hail a cab in the rain, during rush hour! We had breakfast both at the bar and buffet, which were very good. We've stayed in New York before and know prices are going to be at a premium. Rates were comparable to the rest of the area. The location is ideal for those staying in downtown Brooklyn, with subway stations close by.
