"Europe trip 2017"
Excellent hotel EVERYONE was very friendly and courteous Reception ladies did everything to make our stay and travel better We were a group of 8 (4 couples) with a lot of luggage! They sent us 2 vans to the train station to be picked up when we called and asked for help (Because the Taxi drivers ganged up against us and were asking for an outrageous price) Breakfast is excellent The outdoor terrace is very nice to sit and have a drink I highly recommend this hotel if you are going to be in Bratislava
"Exceptional with class and style"
A wonderful hotel with class and style, and yet intimate and personal. Has all the ambience of a classic hotel from the early 1900's, but it was actually built in the early 2000's. A very nice room, a generous and comfortable bed, and an attractive breakfast buffet in the morning. Very helpful staff. We had a limoncello in the library/bar after dinner, and a nice chat with the friendly female bartender. This is the kind of intimate city hotels that we're always looking for but seldom manage to find. Full points without hesitation.
"Hidden Gem! Best Hotel Ever!"
This has to be the best hotel ever! The location is excellent and the service is beyond superb! I travel to Bratislava quite often and I found this hotel by chance…I am certainly happy I did and I will only stay here on future visits to the city. I was greeted with a complimentary drink and the staff was so welcoming and nice. They told me about many attractions that the city has to offer and assured me they would help me in any way they could. I especially want to mention Judy who I spoke to at length one evening: she is a wonderful asset to the staff and is so genuinely nice. When I told her about some of the places I had been, she took note and had the manager ask me about these at check-out so these places could be recommended to other guests. The staff here really takes care to make sure guests have an enjoyable time in the city: I was told they often visit new places so as to see if these fit with guest needs and wants. An excellent strategy indeed and a way to recommend sites other than the castle and cathedral. I’d also like to mention Philip who took my bags to my room and showed me the room features (including a free-of-charge minibar). He also took me to the beautiful terrace which can be used to smoke or just to relax and enjoy a drink. He provided me with excellent service and asked me how things were every single time I met him! Truly an excellent staff member! My room was lovely and comfortable and there is satellite TV with many viewing options. The terrace, as I said, is just beautiful with many trees and plants, there is also a wide variety of seating there. The included breakfast buffet was excellent…so many choices and such attentive staff who were willing to provide extras if asked! There is also a lovely bar there that serves an excellent Vienna coffee. Best of all, the location is so central and so many things are nearby and within walking distance: the river, a huge shopping mall, historic Old Town, the National Gallery…there are also many, many things to see and do which you discover by walking from the hotel to various well-known sites. I LOVE this hotel and can’t say enough good things about it…highly recommended!
On arrival we parked our car outside and walked into the super central hotel. Eva at the front desk was fantastic - friendly, professional and spoke great English. During check in we were offered a glass of sparkling wine which was a nice touch. Philip collected our luggage from the car and parked it in the underground lot of the hotel. He then showed us up to our room which was large with a great bathroom. Breakfast was delicious with a good selection. Almost all sights are within easy walking distance of the hotel. There are also lots of great coffee shops and restaurants nearby. From arrival to check out everything was smooth and easy. The staff are all credits to the hotel and helped make our stay a memorable one!!
"Lovely stay in a fab location"
Really nice hotel in a great central location. Gym could do with being bigger & having air conditioning! Room fine, waterfall shower was lovely, breakfast was really good! Front desk & porter very helpful & friendly. Splashed out on the sauna private hire for a couple of hours - well worth it, very relaxing, gorgeous fruit tray etc. Complimentary mini bar in room.
