"Good Location but poor Reception"
Located in the nice area of Jardim in Sao Paulo, this Melia Hotel offers a good location to the street Augusta and Oscar Freire with many boutiques and restaurants at night. The breaksfast and the buffet are OK, nothing special, a small Nespresso machine like the one you can find in your studio....but for the guests of this Big hotel... The room have a good size, the bathroom is very small and not convenient... A kind of all in 1 in n2 meter square.... m² is expensive in SP, I do understand! Reception was not helpfull at all with a problem of payment with my corporate travel agency, no one was able to solve this problem and this was non acceptable especialy during a quiet period of check out with staff on duty.... Very bad last impression that mades me think to forget this adress for a next trip to SP. Private Check-In was just perfect and helpfull .... at least.
"Very nice hotel in a great location."
Very nice hotel in a great location. We arrived late and hungry. The restaurant was still open (until 11pm). The rooms were clean and comfortable. The Itaim Bibi area is abundant with activity and good restaurants.
"Lovely place with great service and fab breakfast"
I stayed here for a week while I was in Sao Paolo on business and really enjoyed it. There was a large group of us staying in the hotel and we interacted with a lot of the staff over the week. None of us had a bad word to say about the place at all. It's in a very nice area and the breakfast buffet was definitely a highlight every day. The lobby is well appointed and the rooms were nice. The bathroom in my room was a bit small and the tile was on the older side, but it was all well kept and clean. Lovely views of the sunset from the top floor where the pool/gym is. Don't miss it.
"Outstanding service and accommodation"
If you are in need of staying in Sao Paulo this is the place to stay. We were staying on business for 7 nights in mid-August. Reasonable rates, good restaurant, fitness center is on top floor with small pool and relaxing places to sit and watch over the skyline of that part of SP. Location is in a good neighbourhood with plenty of choices of restaurants within easy and safe walking distance. Grocery stores nearby, as is the pharmacy (across the street). The twin room was large, and modern. The beds and bedding were very comfortable. The bathroom had a walk in rain shower that was clean but was beginning to show some wear but functioned very well, lots of water pressure. Complimentary water on arrival was helpful after a long period of travelling. Arrived around noon after a long overnight flight and our room was available. It is the service that is exceptional. English is spoken by the concierge and front desk and they treat you with wonderful service. As part of a group we, our many needs were taken care of promptly and too our satisfaction. The entire staff are friendly (as are everyone we met in local restaurants and shops) and make the stay enjoyable. When we are back in SP we will definitely stay there. Transportation is either by taxi (right outside on the adjacent street) or by uber or you can book a car through the hotel. Sao Paulo's traffic can be quite congested so arrange transportation with plenty of time built in. The hotel is a 20 to 25 minute walk from Ibirapuera City Park which is a must see to decompress and enjoy local culture. The walk during the day was very safe but exercise caution anywhere in SP.
Just imagine you come back to this hotel and the moment you enter the restaurant to have breakfast waiters serve you your favourite hot water with lemon without being asked! They remeber what you like even after many months you haven't been here! Incredible service! I feel here at home!
