"Great location but ..."
Great location to many events and tour groups. On the first night there was a huge business function which went on until well after 1 am Then when a friend came to pick us up the lady from concierge would not let him wait in the car for us as she was waiting for 2 large tour busses to come and pick up the hordes of people. Really what about people traveling in small groups don’t we count. Overall loved the location and the hotel is definitely value for money but individual service is lacking not a boutique experience
"Very comfortable hotel"
We were given a lovely room overlooking Albert Park & the Bay . The facilities are excellent . We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel both very good . It was a bit cold in the lobby area . It is easy to catch a tram into the City . We will stay here again
Rooms were Ok but nothing stunning. I stayed in what I think is the older section still for $109 for the night that was OK. Service and breakfast were good and the evening dinning excellent. I would say again.
Accommodation was beautiful and food was delightful , staff were friendly and helpful. Very close to areas we wanted and also views of the park were delightful and the lounge areas was spacious and comfortable.
Mercure hotel is in front of Albert park..if you from the city..just take the tram from Flinders to St Kilda and stop at High street.just across the street to the right side..and walk till you see the huge brand Pullman..,Mercure and Pullman is in the same building and receptionist. Around the hotel is only huge Albert park..so it's quite difficult to find food, shopping etc..you must go to the south area..to St Kilda/acland street near Luna park..it's about half hour . The room of Mercure is great, quite big with sitting area...
