"Thank goodness our room was a good size!"
Sadly I do not have many good comments about this hotel. From the website both of us felt underwhelmed! The hotel itself has attempted an uplift in the bar, reception and dinning area. The corridors and lift are very dated and tired! We stayed in an executive room, which was large! Seating area, tv, walk in closet, tea and coffee making faculties (sadly no water) and large bathroom. There was a fridge but it was not stocked. When you looked more closely around the room you could see an attempt at a re paint in the bathroom and dirt on the walls from the air conditioner. We had maid service during our stay, but they didn't take away drinks we had left the night before. Staff seemed to be hit and miss! Receptionist forgot to tell us how to work the lift with the key card, thankful a helpful bar tender explained it to us. Then when we used the lift on our second day the cards had stopped working, so had to get them reactivated at reception. We had breakfast in the hotel and dinner. We were sat in the "conservator" a big glass seating area over looking the street. They do it make it look busy, during dinner we were sat in there with a fan making lots of noise, as the air conditioner didn't work. We got it turned over, so we could talk to each other. During our first breakfast we spoke to a girl whom noted the wrong code had been added to her list and changed it, as we had paid for breakfast. On the way out the same person stop my partner asking for a card to be added to our account. Thankfully my partner called be back over so I explained we spoke to her on the way in. Then she apologised, as she though we were a different couple. Dinner was a bit disappointing. We both had the goats cheese tart, which was more of a flat puff pastry. Chicken in an onion broth, that needed seasoning to the chicken and cheeses to finish. Cheese was not great either. We asked our waitress a question about portion size for the starters and she couldn't really answer, just said depends on how hungry you are. Thankfully we took our drinks and retreated to our room, where we sat and enjoyed our evening in what was a great size room. The only redeeming feature of this hotel.
Not a bad place to stay. Room was a bit dark but the bathroom, perfect and clean, was from another period. Huge and bright it was especially compared to the room. Wifi didn't work unless we stood outside in the hall.
"Good Service - front office"
Pleasant stay.... Friendly front office staff... Not impress with club lounge facilities ... So much behind compare to oth millennium hotel in Asia.... Really need seriously upgraded..location wise is fantastic to explore what glasgow had to offer.
I stayed here on a recent business trip to Glasgow. On arrival reception staff were friendly and sorted my breakfast booking for me efficiently and guided me towards my room. My room was a good size and was well appointed. Huge bed, fresh clean bedding and good towels. Lots of tea and coffee on offer in the room. I slept pretty well, there was some noise from the corridor which woke me up in the early hours, but these things happen. Breakfast was fantastic. The staff were friendly and the food was good quality and there was lots of it! All in all, a very pleasant and comfortable stay and I will be back :)
This hotel was just fine. It's clean and has decent breakfast, though it's the same each day. The rooms are typically European small but not terribly for one person. Good location to George Square and not far from other locations as well. Staff is friendly. It was unseasonably hot when we were there and the rooms didn't have air conditioning so we kept the windows open
