"30th Wedding Anniversary"
The Myconian Ambassador Hotel definitely impressed us from the moment we arrived. From the driver who picked us up at the airport, the front desk staff, the waiters and housekeeping staff they were all very helpful, courteous and friendly. The hotel is very modern, clean, has spectacular views, and puts on a delicious breakfast with lots of variety. We loved its location, its very close proximity to the beach and restaurants. It was the perfect place to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Would recommend it to family and friends and would love to come back one day!
"25th Wedding Anniversary"
We stayed at the Myconian Ambassador Hotel for three nights as a part of our 25th wedding anniversary. The entire experience was amazing. The customer service was the best I have ever experienced. Every person there was focused on meeting our every need. The morning breakfast was amazing. The rooms were serviced multiple times a day. The staff was great in helping us plan and booking our adventures on the island. We would recommend this hotel to anyone.
Having stayed here at least 20 times one would think we were mad to keep coming back to the same hotel, but when you get the bug it's very hard not to come back. We have spent another week at the ambassador and as usual it doesn't disappoint, the hotel is of exceptional quality and the staff are all very professional and pleasant to be around, the quality of service and hospitality cannot be beaten, already looking at flights for next June.
We chose this hotel for the price, private jacuzzi, beach access and gym. It met all of our expectations. The service was the best we have ever had. They offered us complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport. The location was perfect, it was set back enough to feel private but a 5 minute walk to one of the prettiest beaches in Mykonos. Walking distance to Nammos Beach Club. The bus stop is also a 5 min walk with quick access to town, about 10 min. The gym was excellent, the views, the staff.... can't say enough wonderful things. Would definitely return and recommend everyone to come here!
Lovely stay at Myconian Ambassador Hotel We stayed late September for 11 nights. On arrival at the airport we were met by a driver who transported us in a luxurious mini bus to the hotel, there were only two other couples, so no issue with room. It’s a very short journey to the hotel, 10-15mins aprox. On arrival we were asked to take a seat and given a refreshing drink whilst we filled in our details. We were then introduced to the receptionist who was to show us around the facilities; gym, spa area, lifts, restaurants, bar area and pool etc., before showing us our very white room, which had a lovely large balcony with two comfortable sun beds, two chairs and a small table. The best thing about the balcony was its size and the fabulous view, it was only a side view, but it was stunning. In fact we preferred being on the side, as the full sea view rooms tended to be above the bar/restaurant/pool area, so appeared less private and no doubt were a little noisy at times. The room had everything we needed and was extremely comfortable. The only slight negative was our shower cubicle was quite small, so a few banged elbows, however, there was a big bath with shower over as an alternative. We spent our time just lounging around and chilling, with great pool service from a group of very friendly staff that were happy to chat and give recommendations. The weather was perfect temperature for us, hovering around 25 degrees most days with a bit of a breeze. It was a short easy bus ride into Mykonos Town, which took no more than 15mins and ran every 30mins (also very cheap vs a taxi), but it was very busy so it was to best get to the stop early to be guaranteed a seat. Mykonos Town is beautiful, but crazy busy with cruises docking regularly… but so worth a look round. You could get lost in the tiny back streets. There were some fabulous restaurants so tucked away you’d hardly know they were there, but when you went inside they opened up to be in an amazing alfresco setting. One of our favourites was Ling Ling with delicious cocktails, great service and food which we still talk about. Breakfast was very tasty with so much choice that even after 11 breakfasts we still didn’t manage to savour everything available. The service from all the waiters was very friendly, helpful and exceptionally efficient. We ate in the hotel restaurant a couple of evenings and again found the food to be of a very high standard with excellent service. We were slightly surprised at how expensive Mykonos was, with most cocktails priced between €15-€23 and a lot of menus matching top London restaurants, not a budget island from what we could see! The bay was full of beautiful yachts to gaze at and one restaurant even had its own helipad to transport guests to lunch! We did visit Skorpios, which is about a 20min stroll along the coast, again very expensive, but if you ordered carefully, it wasn’t too bad, but it had another great view and the music was just to our taste. At first I thought we’d be too old for the crowd there, but on arrival there were many middle aged couples like ourselves enjoying a drink and watching the sunset. The beaches were ok, but most were full of sunbeds, which isn’t our thing, but as we’re pool people, it wasn’t a major concern for us, but not great for families with young children who want to run around. Mykonos is lovely, but around the area we stayed it’s still quite rustic, no pavements to go walking safely but lots of quad bikes/scooters, so you need to have your wits about you when out and about. It’s also very hilly and I’d say not particularly suitable for anyone with walking difficulties. Overall we had a great time and if we were to visit Mykonos again, we would definitely consider staying at the Ambassador, or maybe try one of the other Myconian Group of hotels, assuming they offer the same great standards.
