"Immer wieder gern!"
Really nice hotel with great view from the rooms. Best place to stay when in Bruxelles. Clean and stylish rooms with Luxury bathrooms with everything you need. Very delicious breakfast with great choice. I will definitely come again.
Very comfortable rooms that I found to be much larger than I've experienced in many European hotels. Spacious bathrooms too. The hotel had a great location that was a short walk to Grand Place and other tourist sites. It was easy to take the train straight from the airport to the central station and just a short walk to the hotel. An airport uber was still only around $30 US. My one critique is that the air conditioner did not cool the room as much as I would have liked. I was there mid June when it was teetering on 90 degrees outside. Despite being all the way turned down, I think the coldest I was able to get the room was about 75. Other than that, my hotel stay was great
Nice renovation - superb location - try to book rooms on upper level as street noise is less - best place to stay if you are looking for art dealers, good neighborhood restaurants, and to do people watching on the terraces in neighborhood bars.
"Nice hotel at walking distance of the city center highlights"
Nice hotel with a fairly modern interior. Very friendly and helpfull staff. Judging by the interior, the hotel seems to be renovated quite recently. We had a room at the back side of the hotel. So, not exactly a nice view, but we were happy with it because it is more quiet. The room we had was spacious enough, with a good bed and a clean bathroom equipped with everyting one needs (incl. hairdryer, magnifying mirror, slippers, bath robe). Big TV in the room. Good breakfast. Only minus point: they should properly clean the tables in the breakfast room when guest leave the breakfast table. Just wiping the place-mats is not enough. But maybe that was just a one-off flaw...
"Excellent location, but...."
It's a pity Trip Advisor has not a 'Good' category, because in truth this hotel is somewhere between'Very Good' and 'Average'. The plus is the location, just next to the Grand Sablon cathedral and the marvellous gem of a park, the Petit Sablon. The area is full of interesting shops, bars and restaurants. The staff are attentive and helpful, although the reception can be a bit dozy. The decor is bland, but the rooms are well equipped with coffee maker and a good range of toiletries in the bathroom (which has a large shower unit). A huge TV, but with nothing on (Belgian TV is terrible) except BBC World. The beds are those very annoying twin beds pushed together instead of a proper double, so you are continually falling into the crack in the middle. Generally clean, but I was always taught to look at the phone. In a five star hotel, the phone is always immaculate. Sure enough, it was covered in dust. The worst was the breakfast, overpriced, served in a very gloomy room; and the quality was indifferent, with dreadful coffee and fatty undercooked bacon. I'd say it was good for a business trip, being fairly central, but too impersonal for a holiday. Overall, good, but despite being forced to choose the 'Very Good' category by Trip Advisor, not outstanding.
