Just footsteps away from Siam BTS Skytrain Station, in the heart of downtown Bangkok, Novotel Bangkok on Siam Square is perfectly located for leisure, shopping and entertainment.
"Dirty Swimming Pool"
Stayed 2 nights at Novotel Bangkok (Siam Square) - 1 night in a Superior Room and another in a Standard Room. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay. Loved the spaciousness for both room types, and comfortable mattress and pillows (very important for me). Location-wise, it is great BUT for those driving the traffic congestion can be very frustrating. So The best thing to do is to get your taxi to stop you just around Siam Square, and walk back to Hotel. And vice versa - walk out to the edge of Siam Square and take taxi from there. Other than that, the centrality of the location is amazing. Great eating places and massage shops a stone's throw away from Hotel. The greatest disappointment was actually the Hotel's swimming pool. On the 1st day, I noticed the pool was very dirty. I informed the Hotel staff about it, and they said they would address that (I even gave them my room number because I am not trying to make things difficult, and genuinely wanted to use the pool as their Hotel guest). The next day, the condition of the pool remain unchanged - still as dirty (see photo attached). I gave the pool a miss altogether, and was quite disappointed. Wasn't expecting this from Novotel. If you're someone who uses Hotel pool a lot, I would recommend a myriad of other equivalent hotels elsewhere. In reality, I would rate Novotel a 3.5-star. The saving grace is the Hotel's central location and comfort.
"Best location, could use a facelift"
The Novotel has the best location in Bangkok as it is close to all the major shopping. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was quite good and the selections plentiful. Getting a taxi was made very easy by the doorman! This was our fifth visit to the Novotel and we were generally happy except we can tell that the hotel is aging and needs some attention ASAP! The room was nice but one must be careful as the beds are pretty high! Also, as the hotel is getting older, you have some issues with bathroom doors and carpets that they should address quickly. Not a very large room but decent value for money. They used to have great room service but the menu has dwindled over the years. We did enjoy our foot massage at the hotel spa. The young ladies were very gracious and pleasant. Highly recommended for a relaxing hour or so. Still, you cannot beat the location and overall experience of the Novotel.
Stayed 3 nights at executive room. Room is clean and size just for 2A1C. Location is excellent. Only minutes away from Siam BTS and Siam Paragon. However, the breakfast was disappointing as spread is limited and replenishment is slow.
"Great location n friendly staffs"
Lots of shops n restaurants around the area. Near to Siam station. Busy hotel but I do not need to wait long to check in and out. But can only check in at 2pm. They will help you get a meter cab to airport that cost you about 400bht. Water pressure is good n the aircon is strong... WiFi is good too
"Nice hotel in bangkok"
The hotel is in a good geographical position with BTS 2mins walk. The hotel is surrounded with quite a no. Of shopping centre where u can get almost everything. (Siam paragon, siam discovery etc). Massage parlour is 1 min walk from hotel. The hotel room was big with nice cozy aircon. The staff was very helpful and polite. The only thing I don't like is the Swimming pool as I look down from my hotel room the water looks dirty it just kill of my interest to go for a swim.
