"Middle class chain hotel experience"
As many have mentioned, this hotel is centrally located on the main shopping street and next to the old town. Hotel lobby and bar area feel very modern. Rooms are not quite on same the level but more like average. We had a superior room with a king bed on the 6th floor. Room was quite clean and very simplified. Of course there might be variation between rooms and this is fairly big hotel. Breakfast was average and provides all the basics one would need. Staff was helpful but not all of them could speak English. Taxi from airport should cost less than 10€ for two persons. Stayed for 4 nights.
"Very good middle class hotel "
Good location. Many buses from train station and bus station stop right outside. Everything in town walking distance. Very attentive and friendly staff. Breakfast average fare. Gym average. Rooms nice, modern and clean. Good selection of English channels on TV.
"Centrally located and felt welcome"
Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights from 15-17 June 2017. The hotel is centrally well located. One of the only big international brand nearest to old town. For guests arriving from Riga on Lux bus, you can either stop at the main bus station in Vilnius or at the panorama shopping stop. Both stops have the same distance to the hotel. It took me 25mins to walk from panorama stop as there isn't any taxi and public buses seems complicated. However it was a nice stroll down the gentle slope. Maybe there's more taxi at the main bus station. It took me 10 mins and €9.80 for a taxi to the airport from the hotel on a Saturday morning without traffic. It is approx 5 mins walk to the cathedral sq and about 10mins to the famous dawn gate. As a gold member, I felt very welcome on arrival and there was a room ready for me at 11am. I was given room 603, facing a public square and the City Hall from afar. The room was a spacious for 2 person with a king bed. There was a sofa bed as well. Bathroom has separate bath tub and shower area. Electric kettle and safe, hair dryer and minibar were available. Wifi was reasonably good. No room slippers and iron available. The mattress and pillows were firm, which I like it a lot. No additional toiletries except for the shower gel and hand wash on the wall. Plastic disposable cups were provided in bathroom and towels were fluffy. I was given a surprise in room on my first night and a welcome note from the manager. There was a free welcome drink at the lounge too. Sadly, I didn't get to try the breakfast as I slept in. However, there was a "grab and go" breakfast for guests from 4am to 630am. Lots of eateries around the hotel. There was a nice pastry cafe jus beside the hotel in particular. The main entrance faces a public square with lush greenery and a really busy pedestrian. There was stream of pedestrians on Friday evening till 12midnight! But I felt safe, as the locals are relatively not disturbing, especially towards Asians (sic). Nevertheless, it was a pleasant stay and thanks to the hotel staff for the warm welcome!
"Ideal for families with children"
We love Novotels so we knew what we could expect in Novotel Vilnius Centre. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. It is near many main attractions so you can visit all by foot. We love Novotels!!!
Very good comfortable hotel, good food, very good service in central Vilnius, a few blocks up a main shopping street from the Cathedral and Old Town across from a quiet park. I was there with a Road Scholar group. Excellent buffet breakfast with herring, lots of wursts, good local breads. Separate tub and shower in our room. No washcloths as common in European hotels.
