"Not in the city center, but with easy access to the subway"
Mostly a business hotel in a business district. The U-bahn is about 200 meters down the street and from there only 4 stops to the city center. Hotel has parking but no laundry on-side. Funky rooms with the toilet located in a different section of the room from the shower and sink. Small refrigerator and a room divider for the second bed. Comfortable, but not exceptional. Breakfast across the street is the better choice.
"Nice hotel near city centre "
We stayed in this property in May 2017. It is located near Ringstrasse and major tourist attractions .Front desk staff was very helpful. We had read in many reviews that the breakfast room is over crowded, but it is not so if you are there before 8:30. Buffet Breakfast was also very good. There was a small play area for kids near reception which was a delight as we were travelling with our son. Rooms were spacious and beds were very comfortable. Wifi was good. Will stay again.
"Perfect location in Vienna"
I enjoyed a lovely 4 night stay at Novotel Vienna. 1. location - excellent. It is an easy 15 or so minute walk into the old town. Alternatively you can hop on the train within 5 minutes (Metro station Nestroya) and be anywhere very quickly! The area around the Hotel is primarily business but there are some restaurants within a short Walking distance and for convenience a small SPAR grocery shop 3 min away. 2. staff and service - okay. helpful enough. The manager at breakfast was very friendly and set a nice tone for the day. 3. room - as you would expect from a Novotel. Nice to have kettle in the room. lots of hanging space and a well thought out bathroom with separate toilet. wifi was very good strength and free. The only strange Thing was that they supplied Shampoo and shower gel but no body cream. I had to ask house keeping for one. 4. Overall - great value for a short stay in vienna.

"Family five day four night Break"
We arrived earlier than expected and explained this and asked if we could check in a little earlier as we had a 12 year old and have been traveling for 26 hours, we were refused and told check in would be at 2pm. We went for a walk to get some breakfast/lunch as we were hungry in the hope that when we returned that our room may be ready a little earlier, NOT THE CASE. We just sat in the lobby for the next 3 hours and at 2pm were given a room key. We had booked the Executive room as we wanted the extra room for my son as not to be crowed for the four nights we were staying for. To my shock it was a shoe cupboard, an Espresso machine does not make it an Executive room! I went and complained about the size of the room, and explained that I have stayed in severally Novotel and this was a standard room, to be told no this is what they classed as an Executive room (open to debate). If I had not paid in advance I would have left at the moment and booked somewhere, anywhere else. As I had no choice but to stay I opted to upgrade to a family room (fortunately there was one free), not what I would have liked as I was on a budget. To give a little credit to the manger on at that moment he agreed to give me a small discount. The room was great and I was very happy with the space, but this should never have had to be the case the Executive room should have been big enough to have catered for our stay. I found some of the staff rude and abrupt. We found chewing gum in one of our cups and brought it to the attention of one of the male staff members, who basically accused us of putting it there; we were not asking for any compensation just that the cleaner do their job right. My son went to drink from the cup and said dad there something in my cup, we had no noticed before as the cup was upside down and put straight under the coffee machine. Do not be fooled by the complementary water, when you do eventually get a bottle it is 50cl between you all and for your whole stay, talk about saving money one 55Cent of water for you whole stay! It goes without saying I would not stay here again nor would I recommend it as there are plenty of other hotels in the vicinity. The upside was it was near the park and famous Ferris wheel. Free WiFi but very poor we had to pay for ours to allow us to have access for banking and other admin.
