"Family Holiday "
We stayed at the Regency for 8 days, 3 couples all grown up family members. The apartments are well designed clean and tidy, with a well stocked kitchen. Air conditioning works well. We didn't have any problems and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They were quiet apartments considering they are in a city with lots of traffic. We were able to use the Outrigger Reef hotels pool (and 2 spas) facilities and towels, lots of sun loungers in and out of the shade. (This area leads onto the beach) The walk from the Regency to the Outrigger was a 3 minute stroll at most, the pool area easily accessible. A nice bar where you can get lunch with waiter service. We also booked our tours at the Outrigger Reef activity desk, close to the pool area, they were friendly and efficient. All in all a lovely holiday.
Best to separate our stay in positives and negatives. Positives: in a good location close to Waikiki Reef hotel, with good views and a number of eating alternatives, next to an ABC convenience store and close to a drug store. Just a short walk to the main street. The staff at The Regency are very friendly and helpful. Negatives: The one room apartment we stayed in was not yet refurbished as in some other apartments. We requested 2 single beds and it wasn't until we checked in that were told the Regency does not have single bed accommodation at best a Queen bed and a pullout couch. Our stay was for 9 days and neither bed was comfortable and pillows were very soft. The apartment could have been cleaner, it was dusty in places and the bathroom door was dirty. These apartments are not serviced daily, instead, a cleaning fee of $186 (incl tax) was charged on departure which we thought was excessive!! The Regency is situated in a noisy part of town and while you can block off the street noise by closing the patio doors the building behind has excessively vibrating loud air con operational noise which cuts out between 12 & 6am.
"Regency on Beachwalk #66"
We had a great time in Waikiki and this condo was a big part of it. Great location, great view and friendly staff. The rooms were clean, the kitchenette well appointed and all in all perfect for what we needed. I'd book it again and recommend it to friends. Oh yes, the AC worked very well.
"Awesome stay at the Regency on the Beachwalk Unit 86"
Where do I begin. First, the photos do not do it justice. The unit is actually quite large by Waikiki standards. I've stayed in quite a few Hotels & condos through the years visiting Waikiki and seeing the size, location and the view is impressive. There are two lanais (balcony's) one for a bedroom and the other off the living room. There is a secondary bedroom right off the living room with sliding panels that afford the user view of the huge view. I actually would think this is the master bedroom if it wasn't for the two twin beds. Both have a flat screen TV in them as well as the living room. The unit has a full kitchen with a cook-top in place of an oven. This helps for those that need to eat in on bad weather days, but 9 out of 10, most won't need to and will eat out in one of the nearest food establishments. The bath has a walk in shower and the toilet has a Toto Bidet. Location Location Location as the saying goes and this unit is in one of the ideal spots. Plenty of shops from budget conscious to extravagant within a 4 block radius. The owner Mike is quick with responses before we rented and the manager of the unit Paul is easily accessible for questions once we arrived. Parking is provided over (1 short block away) in Fort DeRussy park and can be reached even faster by going through the Trump Int'l Hotel. Pros.. All of the above, plus They have a Android and Apple app. if your stay includes a Friday night, I highly recommend staying in between 8:30 and 9:00 PM on Friday for the fireworks show provided by the Hilton . The view off the lanai is amazing. There are a few food trucks out front next to the Trump Hotel and the fish tacos are the best I've tasted. Cons... There really isn't any except I wanted the twin beds pushed together as one bed and it wasn't done. No big deal. and the main con is that we wished we could have stayed longer. :) Kudos to Mike for such a wonderful unit. We will definite be back
"Good place to stay"
We stayed at the regency on beachwalk for 10 days the location was excellent you were close to everything beaches ,Restraurants, shopping, the staff are very friendly it was clean and the complamentry juice in the foyer is awsome. The only downfall was it has no pool you have to go down the corner to the Outrigger where you are on display which I didnt like. So if you want a good hotel walking distance to everything and dont mind not haveing a pool on sight this is the place. And across the road is food buses go and eat there the steak and shrimp dish is great and the prices are good if you want a cheap meal there is other buses there as well. Also you have a Abc store down stairs but if you go down the corner to where there is the Hawaiian bank there is a little supermarket which is a little cheaper on alcohol and food than abc stores.
