"great location, but not all that"
Staff was friendly but the rooms were super small and weird. I would not recommend staying there. I was disappointed. It wasn't horrible but not good. Would I stay there again' No. There are better hotels that are less expensive and just as luxurious.
"Perfect Location for your Rome visit!!!!"
Pantheon Royal Suite was literally steps from the Pantheon. The hotel is clean, modern and spacious. The staff were very helpful and friendly. You have restaurants surrounding the hotel. My suggestion is to make a visit to the Pantheon early in the morning when you don't have crowds of people. The hotel is not very big and can be easily missed from the front. It is in between two restaurants so keep your eyes open. Overall, great price for the location.
"Fun, quirky hotel in a sublime location"
We loved our two-night stay at the Pantheon Royal Suite! Our fourth-floor room looked out over the beautiful Fontana del Pantheon, and the Pantheon itself was steps away--amazing to look at in the changing Roman light. (Over the course of the day we saw lines wrapped around the piazza for the Pantheon, we saw a nearly empty square, we saw students sketching and buskers singing Pink Floyd songs. Truly a slice of life!) From this home base we were able to walk easily to Rome's most popular spots: the Colosseum, Trevi, Spanish Steps--all of it just minutes away, and that really made our visit. The staff was friendly and spoke perfect English. We had a lovely suite, nice and clean; minibar was complimentary, which was super after exploring Rome all day. The building is ancient and charming. I felt like Juliet when I opened the shutters and looked out over the piazza. It's also a bit narrow with a tiny elevator, so be prepared to use the stairs frequently and don't expect to get your bags up in one trip. You have to be willing to forego a bit of room and luxury to enjoy the history. We had no issues whatsoever with noise from the square, though there is lots of activity down there all was quiet in our room, which had ample closet space and delightful toiletries. And the proximity to restaurants, gelaterias and little delights (like the elephant obelisk in nearby Piazza Minerva) is a definite plus. Would absolutely stay here again!
we stayed here for 4 days and we loved it, our room was very big and with amazing view. the staff are very nice special thank you to the guy who had to stay till 1 am waiting for us. thank you for everything.
"Beware of changes to what you reserve...hold firm. Great location. Clean."
We booked and paid in full (4 months in advance) for a specific room type, with a couch/extra bed in the room and in the back of hotel (without a view) to be away from the possible noise of the restaurants in front. When we arrive we were told we were given a "free upgrade to a room with a view". When I said that was not what I booked, I was told it was a "free upgrade", and I said we would see the room. It was directly above the restaurants (where I did not want to be) and the tiny room had no couch/extra bed. I told the woman at the front desk that we didn't want the room, and I needed to get the room I had booked and already paid for. She began to argue with me that since we were only 2 people we don't need the extra bed and that the other room was the same size. I told her we do need the couch (my husband sits up many nights because of heath issues) and since I booked and paid for it, it is the room I want. She agreed to show me the room, which was much bigger (it had a daybed-not really a couch and a table with 4 chairs, a hidden kitchenette) and when I say bigger I mean relative to the tiny "upgraded" room offered - both rooms were quite small. I said I wanted the room I booked. She then informed me that they had booked someone else in that room for the last night of our stay which was why we couldn't have it and if we did take it we would have to move out for the last night of our stay. I reiterated that she had already had my payment for 4 months and that if anyone was going to be inconvenienced it would not be me. The originally friendly woman became quite surly but we were given the room for our entire stay. The location is very convenient, allowing an easy walk to many of the highlights of Rome. The room was clean. Free internet didn't work most of the time. Elevator can only hold two people or one person with one piece of luggage at a time.
