"Repeated stay in this exceptional superb Park Hyatt property"
Staying in this excellent property again - everything from quality of its room in terms of size and cleanliness, convenience of its location, and the most important - the support and service being provided by its management and staff - everything has been perfect. Absolutely one of the very best property in one of the most important cities globally under the Park Hyatt franchise. Really appreciated.
"Pretty neat place to stay"
We stayed for one night at this fabulous hotel using points. I have nothing bad to say about the place to say the least. A beautiful hotel well located in Paris (Place Vendome). The general manager Claudio went out of his way and sent over a personal letter and champagne for me which I was super impressed by. The breakfast perhaps was a bit lacking than other places, but service was exceptionally fast and efficient throughout our stay. If you can afford it I highly recommend it. Rooms and surroundings both modern looking and clean.
Explorist member : - asked an upgrade at check in but of course hotel is fully booked, i tried to book a room and call the reservation : rooms were available... - nobody helped us to carry the bagages (checkin or checkout). People watched us but that's it - several in and out in the hotel and nobody says "hello" - room was tiny, old, dark and smell very bad. - we came and left as unknown people. Like a 3 stars hotel where nobody cares about you - breakfast was good Honestly, never seen that in a park hyatt... now in shangri-la and the story is totally different...can't compare
"Paris in summer"
I visit Paris annually in early summer. Thia year my visit was slightly later than usual and the result was the best weather I remember having had in town. From one of my colleagues I learnt of the first day of my visit that the city bikes which are stationed around town can also be used by non-residents for €1,70 per day. Luckily there were bike stands right outside the hotel in rue Casanova and by the office, which enabled me to ride to the office in 40 minutes. My room was located in the quieter second building on the third floor with courtyard views. Upon my arrival I noticed that the entrance had been updated with new dark marble. The Panerai Yatch Club Bar opened in the courtyard had a very relaxed Italian atmosphere to it and a good selection of Italian summer cocktails. Breakfast was excellent as it has always been with a great selection and markedly fresh products from suppliers across France. The tables also showed a detailed upgrade, namely they are now covered in leather. I enjoyed the fitness club and spa almost daily. While the fitness room may seem small it contains all essential equipment from treadmill, bikes and steppers to kettle bells, etc. The spa comes with a steam room, dry sauna and whirlpool, which I enjoyed after my workout.
"Overpriced and horrible customer service"
I did not like this stay at all. The check-in person lectured me multiple times because we didn't know we couldn't have a standard room with very young children. She wanted us to upgrade to a suite for an additional 500 Euros per night, so we said we would just have our infant and toddler stay with a relative at a different hotel. The air conditioner in the room never got below 80 degrees, even after having someone look at it. We had to call the front desk to get our bags after waiting for them in the room for well over an hour after a bell boy insisted on taking them when we walked in. Very, very disappointing overall. I wouldn't expect service like this at a 1 star hotel, and certainly not a 5 star with a ridiculous (overpriced) price tag.
