"Honeymoon Stop #2"
My husband and I stopped here on our honeymoon after the Maldives, and before we made it to Amsterdam. We both we're so excited to stay here because we had heard on multiple occasions this was one of the best hotels in the Hyatt Portfolio. I have to admit, I don't see it. My husband is a Globalist at Hyatt and used one of his confirmed suite upgrades. Now again, my husband is a Globalist, the top tier at Hyatt, we had made a note in our reservation that it was our honeymoon, and used a confirmed suite upgrade. The hotel only put us into a Park Suite, the lowest level suite which is pretty much a junior suite compared to any other hotel. So I have removed a star for minimal Hyatt program recognition. Speaking of the room itself, when we checked in, the desk told us it was a 'newly renovated' park suite...it looked straight out of the late 80s. All of the gold mirrored accents and red velvet took me for a loop. And they're so dark! The room did not have good lighting and made me feel like I was staying in a little big of a dungeon. I am removing a star because I was not impressed with the rooms at all. On a positive note, the location of the hotel is ideal. My husband and I happily walked around all over Paris. We got lucky, and realized we had booked during Bastille Day. Which was an amazing experience! I would highly recommend visiting during this time. What a cool celebration, and the fireworks were the most amazing I have ever seen! Also, the breakfast was impeccable. I couldn't stop dreaming about the omelettes and croissants. Valerie served us each morning and she was delightful. Overall, I don't think my husband and I will stay here again when we visit Paris, nor would I recommend it to any friends or family visiting.
Very impressed with the room upgrade and they even found a connecting room for us when requested and both of the room is close to the elevator the only complaint I'll have is only one of the connecting rooms has a bathtub the other has the shower room without bathtub. This is the second time staying at the hotel while visiting with my family in Paris. The rooms are very beautiful too with a living room in between the two rooms.
"Modern twist on belle epoque"
We had a wonderful stay here, albeit for one night. The entire decor and vibe is a modern twist on the belle epoque style that's common in this part of Paris, particularly as demonstrated by the Ritz around the corner. The rooms are quite large for Paris (we had a king) and the bathrooms are incredible--including both a water closet and a dressing room/walk in. Everything is extremely well-appointed and the service was impeccable. The location is also excellent as you have access to several metro lines and a cab stand right outside. Would absolutely recommend this hotel!
Everything you can expect from a hotel of such standard. Julian from the Reception was a delight and the Concierge desk was so swift in answering all our questions. Staff is definitely well trained at the Hyatt Vendome and we hope to come back.
"Large rooms, comfortable. Use your Hyatt points here!"
We stayed here for the last leg of our 8 day Paris trip. The location is in a very tourist oriented area with lots of shops near by. The rooms are very large for Paris hotel standards and the staff is very accommodating. We enjoyed our stay immensely. Like other 5 star hotels near by, the price is high, but with our Hyatt points (30,000 per night) we stayed for essentially 50% discount. The hotel does need a bit of an upgrade as most of the fixtures were dated. There were a few water stains in the bathroom as well, but for the points I spent I don't think I could have stayed at a better hotel in Paris. We had gone to The Four Seasons for dinner at Le Cinq and that hotel is a whole new level of luxury.
