"Lifetime SPG Platinum considering switching to Hyatt"
The Park Hyatt Sydney was absolutely incredible. From the immaculate and swanky room to the most incredible view of Sydney Harbor (and the Opera House). The hotel could not be more perfect. (Room service was a bit of a let down, but everything else was spot on)
"Surprise birthday for my wife"
Stayed one night in an Opera King room as a surprise birthday present for my wife. The lady on reception presented my wife with a bunch of flowers on arrival and the hotel sent a beautiful cake to our room. From start to finish the service was personalised, informal but high quality. Can’t recommend it highly enough
"Great location and excellent service"
I had a room with a view of the Opera House which was really lovely. The room was a decent size and was clean and comfortable. The concierge desk was very helpful in terms of helping me figure out how to get where I wanted to go by walking. The hotel is in such an awesome location right on the harbor - so easy to walk the circular quay, to the bridge climb office, the observatory, and restaurants and cafes.
"Lives up to the hype!"
When planning our trip to Australia, I couldn't imagine staying anywhere but the Park Hyatt with rooms overlooking the Opera House -- so I booked them for our family of four. Then immediately dread started setting in that I had somehow succumbed to all the hype and would not find the hotel to be worth the money. When you think you are going to go somewhere only once in your life, you want it to be perfect. I am happy to report that not only did the Park Hyatt live up to expectations, it surpassed them in unpredictable ways. First -- walking into this hotel is quite a different experience than walking into any other 5 Start, world renowned property. We've stayed all over the world in such properties but have never found them to be low-key, relaxed or down-to-earth like this one. Is this just Australia' Or is it just the staff at this particular property' They all seemed to have a tight bond with one another that translated into an atmosphere of laid back, no fuss, fun without anything seeming to be forced, formal, or snobby. Truly made our stay equally fun, laid back and relaxed. Walking into our rooms early in the morning right off the plane, we were greeted with an amazing view of the sun shining off the roof of the Opera House and tugboats in the harbor. It was wonderful. I highly recommend spending the extra money for the view, especially if you think it might be your only trip to Oz. Breakfast came with our rate and was terrific in a restaurant looking over the harbor. Special shout out to the Concierge Staff. They arranged Aussie Rules football for us, an Opera House Tour, airport transfers, casual dining, gave us walking directions, and, generally, greeted us daily by name as if we were long lost friends. I've never used the concierge so much as I did at the Park Hyatt but only because they were so friendly, knowledgable and approachable. Just loved this hotel experience!
Great place to stay. Very pleasant and the room enjoyable on its own. Staff could not have been better. Very friendly and helpful and they went out of their way to assure a pleasant experience. They really care about your needs. Room was fantastic and had a great view.
