"our go to hotel in Toronto"
My wife and I have been coming to Toronto from Buffalo for many years and have used a number of different hotels. But the past couple of years we have settled on the Park Hyatt as our go to hotel in Toronto. The hotel is in a very good location and they can provide us with all that we need. We particularly like the rooms in the North Tower (for example rm 1140) they are quiet, nicely furnished and very comfortable. Looking forward to our next stay in September
"A classy slightly wrinkled old dame"
This is a luxury hotel in the center of Toronto near the fashionable Yorkville area, the shopping are on Bloor Street and the University of Toronto. This expensive hotel works like a well-oiled machine. The service is great. The free wifi is fast and reliable. The rooms are very large and have all possible amenities. The bathroom is very nice. The beds are comfortable and of the best quality. On the other hand, it is an aging hotel. Long dark corridors. Carpets everywhere---all modern 5-star hotels have bare floors and are bright, but not the Park Hyatt. The rooms have no "Do not disturb" cards, which means that customers are disturbed at the oddest times several times per day. But my main beef is with the parking fee---55 dollars per day. I guess the parking lot is carpeted and has a great panoramic view. My car was very happy when it was returned to me at the end of the week. Looking forward to hotel rooms at 90 dollars and 100-dollar parking fees. Of course, these are details. It is a very very good hotel!
"Great stay, and convenient location "
Great stay, and convenient location. Situated near to the junction of Avenue and Bloor the location was, for us, ideal. Easy walk to the museum and subway for city wide access. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Rooms were well presented at all times. Rooftop bar a great evening venue, with good bar food and, on the ground floor, great food in the restaurant.
Top-notch quality in every respect. Staff were extremely courteous and the rooms were large, clean, and well I portioned. My only reservation was the price. But I am glad I stayed there and would recommend it to others who needed to be in a specific location.
I arrived at the hotel with my daughter early on a Tuesday morning, around 7am. The doors open outward automatically, which I thought was unique. Checking in was a bit of a hassle as my company credit card was not activated and I had to go rooting in my bag for another card that would work. However, the front desk staff was very kind and said that since my bill would be taken care of by the company, they would show us to our room so we could rest, and I could just let them know later on once the card was activated. The room was large and the view was overlooking the Royal Ontario Museum. In the distance, you could see the CN Tower - quite a treat. The bed was very comfortable. In the bathroom, there was a bathtub (which sadly I didn't get to use due to lack of time). At the sink there was a lighted make-up mirror, which was quite useful when I had to prepare for a formal dinner. There was no bidet, though, which would have been handy. There was also a clothes iron and an ironing board in the closet - fortunately for me, as the slacks and shirts in my suitcase were a bit rumpled. The hotel also has a curling iron available upon request. There is also a safe, which is easy to operate. A 13" Thinkpad fit in there, as well as some valuables. We stayed four nights and our room was clean, neat and fresh-smelling each time we returned. The hotel provides an environment-friendly option for linens not to be changed if they are not much used. As ours were used very little,we used this option on the second and third nights. The hotel restaurant is pricey but the meals are well worth it. Try the urban breakfast and low carb breakfast - we loved those! We got seats near one of the windows as my daughter enjoyed looking at the buildings around the hotel and the cars passing by while we ate. My daughter and I enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was a memorable experience and I hope we have the chance to stay there again.
