Wonderful place. Barbara and Diogo on the front desk was amazing and so helpful and polite. Wish I could have stayed longer!! The place had such character and history

Nice staff but not a five star hotel
Definitely not a five star. The main building is beautiful but everything else, including all guest rooms, is very tired, it’s really a 3 star. Rooms very dark and old fashioned, and constant problems...

The Palace is extraordinary!
This palace is truly a palace and guests are treated like royalty. The breakfast is the nicest we've ever been to - beautifully presented, bountiful and delicious. We are so happy to be here!
