This was our second stay... this time with 4 apartments booked for a group. Beds are very comfy and the location is perfect for everything in the cbd. The rooms were all quiet. Some of the fittings needed some tlc, but nothing major and everyone was generally happy with their rooms. One drawback is the Thai restaurant which connects through to the reception area and has an unpleasant smell... this can also be smelt in the rooms directly above - 110 and 210 for example. It did take a very long time for us to checkin, but this can be forgiven as the staff were very helpful and friendly throughout our stay. After hours access is via swipe card- reception is not staffed 24/7 but I believe they are available by phone. Would stay again for the location, and apartment style accommodation. Good value for money.
This is the second time we have stayed in Flinders lane. It's an excellent location. The apartments are fantastic. Very clean and serviced daily. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Highly recommend if you would like a central location with resturants right beside in Degraves lane and shopping everywhere!
"Worst Hotel I have ever stayed in from a Trip Advisor listing!"
I have never stayed in a hotel as loud and obnoxious as this hotel! I would never recommend this hotel to anyone! My wife and I have traveled all over the world and never had as bad a problem with noise as we are having here! The comments in Trip Advisor about the noise in lower levels does not come close to describing how terrible it is to try and sleep here. Unless they have quieter rooms in other parts of the hotel, this hotel is clearly the worst I have ever experienced and I would suggest that no one would want to stay here, room 101 is horrible!
With a group of people an apartment is best, the Punthill was great, good size, clean, very central. Thankyou for making our visit great. Close to food venues, the station, or even a tram, you are close to everything.
"Location is ideal"
The reason we picked this hotel was due to location. So close to the shops in Bourke Street and not far from Southbank. The lanes have great cafes and graffiti to admire. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Rooms have different sizes, my daughter got a much bigger room than me even though we paid the same price for a one bedroom apartment . The rooms are clean and include everything you need. You can leave your bags at reception which is ideal to catch a few hours of shopping before your flight. Only recommendation is ask for a room as high as possible due to noise as quite a few bars and pubs close by. Would definitely stay there again.
