"Decent Stay but Extremely Unhelpful Hotel Sales Manager"
My stay was 3 nights (26/9 - 29/9) for a business trip. Room was alright. But upon booking with the hotel, Natasha Ismail was already unfriendly from the start. As per National Conference for Clinical Research (NCCR) 2017's website, it was stated to contact Natasha to enquire for special government rates. We did so; however, she was insistent that there was no such special rate in the first place. We only got the special hotel rate as deserved after much argument with her. Fast forward to checking out and leaving Kuala Lumpur on 29/9, I had accidentally left behind some personal belongings which I had called that very night to confirm that my items were at the hotel's reception. I followed up with another phone call on 2/10 with Natasha, and ANOTHER call again the same week - just to liaise and arrange to get my belongings back. I'm happy to bear the postage cost incurred, I only needed help to for my items to be posted. Despite having my contact number and REPEATED promises that she would call me back, Natasha never did. I certainly don't appreciate her tone either. Just a while ago, I was told by another staff that I am to call Natasha again on Monday - instead of her calling me back as she had promised. I have been going back and forth for TWO GOOD WEEKS just for this matter. For a 5-star luxury hotel, this is not quite the kind of service you would expect.
"wosrt shangri-la in malaysia"
was there for a 3D2N business meeting. the food suck to the max except for the soft serve ice cream machine. food looks like its yesterday's. perhaps because of the low occupants but there's no excuses for bad food. room service is 'too efficient' even when I put on the privacy note on, they still went in to do their job.....I wonder what is the privacy light is for
"Luxury hotel with great staff"
Stayed here for 2 nights whilst sightseeing in Kuala Lumpur. The rooms were generously spacious and had everything we could have needed; the wifi was a lot better than I expected it to be. The hotel is quite far from the city but with apps like Uber, it is not really a problem as it was convenient and cheap (around 45 ringgit) to get to the centre of the city. Staff overall were friendly and happy to help. In particular, Mr Shubham Chauhan who checked us in was exceptionally helpful and friendly. He made sure we were able to get vegetarian meals at the hotel which was something we struggled with at other hotels before coming to KL. He was also very helpful in helping us find information on what tourist sites were the best to visits and how to go about booking any attractions should we need to during our short stay in KL (only 2 nights) - he went out of his way to do so, which our we appreciated greatly and were very impressed by. Overall would highly recommend this hotel, even though it is out of the way, the quality of service offered would not be matched by a hotel in the city, so well worth it!
Was taken here for lunch, prior to looking around the Mosques at Putrajaya. It’s a beautiful place, but highly under-utilised. It is here to support government, and sits in the middle of the government district. We visited on a Sunday, and it was deserted, and we were the only diners for lunch. Food was extremely good, portions were good, and the food was very well presented. It would be good to see this place when it’s busy, but it’s not on the tourist tracks, so only really used during the working week. Worth a visit...
