"Good Stay! "
Looking for a weekend away, we managed to get cheap flights to Amsterdam. However we were unable to find a hotel with reasonable rates and a comfortable stay. We managed to get a good rate here, but new we would have to get a bus and train to the city. The hotels bus was great and we used this loads. The hotel was clean and the room large. This is our ... Radisson in recent times and met our expectations. Only let down was breakfast! We have been really spoilt at all the other ones and this one was fine and service was ok. But nothing “special” they needed a few more wow factors. However the take away coffee was an added bonus!
Unexpected 36 hours at Amsterdam airport. Staying in this hotel on airlines. Room is clean and food is OK (because airlines pays... otherwise the food is good). Hotel staff is extremely helpful and is making their best to accommodate our stay. Hotel manager Andy is nice enough to grand me 5 hour late check out. Thanks.
"Very Average Airport Hotel"
The hotel is located about 15 minutes by bus from the airport, the bus is shared so you will stop at one car hire, two car parks and another hotel before arriving at the Radisson, make sure u stow ur luggage as the drivers must have trained in Fast and Furious and give little concern about offering the passengers a safe and relaxing journey. When I got to the hotel the reception is one floor up, the receptionist was very friendly and checked me in very quickly. I was in a king room which was nice size, great bed, and nice bathroom. It's the first hotel I've stayed in of this standard where a charge is made for standard to stations, there are a few free channels but most incur a €7.50 a day charge, its like been in a low cost hotel. The food is pretty overpriced. I had lunch in the Optium Lounge and the polish lady on duty was excellent, offering good drink and menu suggestions. On the second day I decided to go back to the airport to eat as it really was expensive to have a full meal. Breakfast was a pricy €27 euros, it really is false economy, charge €15 and I would have eaten breakfast both days, as it stood I didn't eat breakfast at all. There is nowhere within walking distance as an alternative. I choose the hotel due to recommendations but I think you are better staying at the hotels actually at the airport. Oh yes the drive back to the airport was as crazy and dangerous as the outward journey.... the hotel really to need to address the shuttle problem before there is an accident.
"Accommodation due to delayed flight"
Hotel staff extremely helpful thoughout our 2 day enforced stay as a result of a delayed transfer flight due to snow. Staff ensured a quick and effective service, rooms, essential toiletries etc. Also providing an out of hours hot buffet for all delayed passengers. A good room service menu was also available. Staff friendly, helpful and with fast appropriate action to meet the requirements of the whole situation. The silver lining, the calm relaxed environment in the hotel allowed us to recover from our jet lag before catching our delayed flight and returning to the hubbub of Xmas, a stark contrast to the attitude of KLM to its passengers. We would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to fellow travellers.
First, I made the reservation with the Booking.com and it was written the breakfast was included.... Arriving there, it was not.... They offer what they say a ‘business package’, which includes a supposed welcome drink and so on.... The welcome drink is not what you want, but what they want to give to you.... Frustrating.... Be careful !!!! Don’t order in your room the Margherita Pizza.... It is the worst thing they could call pizza.... Sorry, but Radisson could be much better than this terrible experience I had.... That’s the room service they call pizza....
