Stayed in this hotel for two nights as we were attending the Europa league cup final. The hotel is a half an hour walk away from the mall and the arena which is really handy and our main reason for booking. The rooms were pretty good very clean and no complaints in that department. The hotel is also in a very quiet location away from the hustle and bustle. Breakfast was also decent with a good variety for all nationalaties. The hotel also kept the bars open late on the two nights we were there which was good . Overall the hotel was quite expensive but with a big sporting event on it was only to be expected. The staff were very helpful and polite and should i ever go back to for an event at the arena i would most definately use this hotel again.
Stayed two nights recently for business reasons, no real complaints. Staff were friendly and helpful. Can be a bit confusing getting around as the ground floor is the 3rd floor and room directions are not that clear (at first). Bedroom was nice, but bathroom somewhat dated. Stepping out of the bath / shower is quite dangerous as it is steeper than normal, you could easily have a mishap if you did not take your time.were rushing. Toilet seat was cheap plastic, just about hanging on ! Bar area near reception was boring and dull - ok for a quick drink, before going somewhere else. Not until I was about to check out, did I realise there was another bar / outside area in the garden, on the 4th floor (where the restaurants were). Only had breakfast there, which was varied and of a very good good standard. Last morning sat outside and enjoyed the sun and views.
"Very hot room"
Stayed here for 2 nights on business. The room was in the main building on the top floor overlooking the lake, with a set of double doors leading out onto a shared balcony. It appeared the balcony was going through renovation due to the plastic sheeting on the floor and lack of separation between the rooms. The room itself was very warm, with no air conditioning or heating control. The only option to cool the room was to open the doors on the balcony, but this was obviously not an option at night due to the shared nature of the balcony. The hotel is quite an unusual design, meaning communal areas are largely very bright and airy. The breakfast area for example has a nice outlook over the lake. Breakfast itself was good with a decent selection and no delay in being seated. The best feature of this hotel is undoubtedly the location. If you are into running or walking, then the location by the lake is fantastic. Having said that, if you are looking to travel into a Stockholm, it's a fairly long taxi ride.
"Peaceful and pleasant, good for those working at Regus next door."
I stayed here whilst doing a job in the Regus building next door and found that there's an interconnecting corridor, meaning you stayed under cover all the time (so bad weather didn't affect me). Although it's a bit "out of the way", there is a frequent bus service that stops right outside the front of the hotel, so transport to Solna station and Mall of Scandinavia (the large shopping mall) is pretty easy. Check-in service was good, quick and efficient. Opposite the reception is a bar, which does a a subset of the restaurant menu - but with a TV to watch whilst you snack, and next to this being the lifts and staircases to ascend to rooms. Further down the corridor is a staircase leading up to the dining areas with nice views outside of Brunnsviken, the lake. The whole hotel feels open-plan with crossing glass walkways, with views down into reception and dining. I found the room spacious, modern, warm, but I guess there had been some furniture changes, leaving power sockets in odd places with cables trailing around the room. I was high up with some nice views overlooking the lake, particularly scenic with the snow dropping. Breakfast was VERY comprehensive, a combination of cereals, fruit, continental-style meats, an omelette chef and various yogurts, breads, nuts - lots of healthy options! The restaurant in the evening served a good range of meals - a wonderful range that I couldn't enjoy due to a gum infection. The club sandwich was pretty generous, stacked high and served with a side of chips. The next day I found I could manage the Rigatoni, soft pasta with beef strips and mushrooms, served with a creamy sauce and rocket - so I opted for this on the next night. However, during the day I had the most wonderful rich beef goulash stew for lunch and the waiter managed to secure me the same dish for that evening - good move! In all, my stay there was pleasant and peaceful. Well recommended: I would happily revisit should I have an occasion to stay there again.
"Rooms Very Basic"
Stayed for two nights on a business trip, the location was perfect for me and the staff very helpful however I found the rooms very basic in comparison to other RB hotels I have stayed in. The breakfast was very nice however the lunch menu in the main restaurant did not have much selection.
