"Very good hotel in Stockholm"
This hotel, Radisson Blu Royal Viking is very convenient to stay and enjoy entertainment because it's close to city center. I've enjoyed good quality of service and food. Also the people working in hotel are so kind and friendly.
"Remember you are in Scandinavia"
Stayed over five nights for a conference in a business class room on the fifth floor. The room had been renovated and had all the little conveniences covered (safe, lightly stocked fridge/mini bar, work desk, toiletries, wifi, etc), but it is important to remember that you are in IKEA's home country where the scale is small and a bit stark. So the rooms are small, the bathroom is functional but small, and the closet space is essentially non-existent -- which would have been fine if I were on a quick trip, but I had every inch taken up with my work and evening attire. It fit. Positives include: location (easy to walk to Gamla stan, NK or other shopping), breakfast (the buffet offered on the first floor is PHENOMENAL - something for everyone), bars (it took us a couple of nights in the perfectly fine lobby bar before we realized there was a sky bar on the ninth floor where we met for the remainder of the trip) and staff (extremely accommodating housekeeping and desk staff -- delivered hangars to my room without me having to ask and took care of other requests quickly).
This hotel is at excelent location, only 3 minutes walk from the main train station. Taxy stand is located in front of the hotel. The hotel is very clean. I have enjoyed a good food variaty for breakfast.
"I'd Stay Again!"
Great hotel. Fabulous location. Exceptional staff. Outstanding breakfast buffet. European hotels differ greatly from American hotels - twin beds (not double or queen) and efficient use of space (limited space to hang clothes or place in drawers). Otherwise it would have been excellent
"Nice business trip or vacation hotel centrally located "
We stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms and it was very nice. The only issue with the room is a total lack of storage. There is a very small closet and no dressers or shelves. Seems designed for men not women. Other than that it was a good hotel in a great location. Being next to the train station was a big plus.
