"Very good business hotel in central CPH with nearby running routes"
I'd definitely use this hotel again and really liked the location. If you like running it seems to have very close proximity to running routes and paths around the park and canal area. I didn't get chance on this trip but will take my running shoes and venture out from hear next time. reall close to some of the best restaurants in CPH.
"It's a Radisson...what else'"
Radisson hotels in my mind seem like those students that does everything right but just don't stand out. So when they move on to another class, the teacher almost immediately forgets them. I seriously mean it when I say that there's nothing wrong with the the Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel in Amager, but it's just never a memorable experience. Location: It's right outside the old town but there's not much going on around the hotel itself. The closest metro station is Islands Brygge, which is around a 5 min walk away. There are a few grocery stores around. Other than that, you really have to walk 20 min in any direction to find more life. Room: Your typical Radisson room. It has all the amenities that a traveler will need - kettle, mini fridge, iron, etc. My problem with this Radisson, and Radisson in general, is that you can wake up and not know where you are. This is because they standardize the hotel chain way too much. There's no local customization whatsoever to the room, the lobby, the hallways. What some other hotels do is to at least have a picture of the old city where it's located. That at least gives it a bit more a local flavour. Food: There are several restaurants on the main floor of the hotel and a bar serving pretty good bar food. The main restaurant focuses a lot on wine. But, in the breakfast selection is the same across all the Radisson locations! I've had the same offer in Radisson in the States and Radisson in Germany. Even the dishware is the same. They are trying really hard to give a Nordic / hipster feel to their offering. The food itself is pretty good though and I do like the little extras such as "Make your own Bloody Mary" and delicious baked salmon. Staff Efficient but not personal. I swear I had a better experience here last year when I first started coming to Copenhagen. But as I said before, the hotel does everything right, but it just misses something that makes it memorable.
Room was rather standard one. Upper floors nice views over the city. Restaurants vey nice ones; Japanese, Italian and Thai cuisines. Authentic taste on Thai which now tested. Breakfast more than enough to choose for all.
"Denmark or Japan"
If I go to Japan would I find danish cuisine in their restaurants' we were able to sample the local restaurants and found then excellent. The money we spent there was lost to your group. The prices of the bar fridge and room service is a little high.
"Nice stay - stay away from the eggs"
This is your typical 4-star hotel. Nice room and good bed. Loved that they have a fitnessdk fitness center and breakfast buffet is amazing. Only thing that missed both days of my stay was the soft boiled eggs. One morning they were weirdly stringy and the second day yellow and white were completely fluid (i tried several). Also I wish they served more organic and vegan options.
