Breakfast was really good - though same every day. Rooms OK. We got upgraded to King sized bed - but hard to tell. Room quite small. We had 3 rooms over 3 nights! Don't have a room anywhere near the bar. Noisy. Ask for a fjord view. It was my partner's birthday and they didn't raise an eyebrow to give any gesture or upgrade or anything. Disappointing. Maybe we expected too much from a middle of the road hotel. Will definitely try something with a more of a personal touch and some character next time.
"Nice bar, average rooms"
The bar on the top floor is great, and the food in the restaurant is very good. The rooms are tired and need updating though, and the iron and ironing board are very basic so no use if you’re trying to iron anything cotton. Good staff, and solid location though.
"Good location, friendly service"
We have chosen to stay at Radisson Blu Scandinavia for its location which is within the walking distance from the major attractions in the city of Oslo. An easy bus ride fom the airport is also a selling point as the airport bus terminal is located right in font of the hotel. Breakfast is generous and offers varieties. Friendly service leaves a good impression. Accommodation is good although the Oslo city Council was digging up the road outide the dining room, we were prepared to ignore it due to the convenient location and good service by the hotel staff
Thank you Ramon for your help today and 9 years ago!!!!!!! You should be a manager!!!!! Well we got a very shabby and old room when we checked inn on sunday 5/11. Never got room service on Monday 6/11. Luckily today we got rescued by Mr Ramon who gave us a completely brand new modern room which was way confortable than out SHABBY 923. Otherwise the breakfast is very good and variable with a gang of warm hearted people making your morning bright. Keep it up. Roons and comfort, pull up your socks.........more people like Mr Ramon please.
"A good hotel, nice rooms and many that do a great job for you - but big and impersonal."
A very large hotel with many rooms and facilities. 21 floors and lifts that go fast from top to bottom or vice versa. Lovely view of Oslo from the rooms. Short distance from Oslo city center and main street Karl Johan. The breakfast included is good and varied and had a lot to offer. List of extra items that can be ordered on all tables. Krispi fried backon is an example, but it would have been nice if it was available at the buffet. The hotel is a superb conference hotel for large gatherings and events, and for explore Oslo it is also a good choice. Although the staff are friendly and helpful, it is a big and impersonal hotel. So for a more personal hotel experience - choose a smaller hotel. In November, ongoing upgrading at the hotel and outside. Outside the hotel roads are closed and a lot of digging work. Trains(trikken) can not pass the hotel as usual. The airport bus runs directly to and from the hotel - as before. As it is now, accessibility is not good and you have to walk in mud to come to the senter of the city. Not easy for people with disabilities - but inside everything is designed for different mobility. A good hotel, nice rooms and many that do a great job for you - but big and impersonal.
