The hotel and the location are grand and beautiful, however we found it very unclean; the rooms, the public toilets and the beach (cigarette buds) are not maintained to a 5 star standard. The staff did not seem to care about our comments, they didn't offer alternative rooms (we complained that are rooms were close to the road and next to a building site). There was no visitor information in the rooms so we did not know about the free shuttle buses to Aqaba until it was too late, they didn't offer any help regarding snorkeling in the area, my son spilled orange juice under the table at breakfast which was not cleaned even after we've asked and in general, especially compared to the warm hospitality we received in other hotels in Jordan, we did not feel they cared much about us and that they were pretty rude.
"Good Property with bad reception staff !!"
I was told that this is Radisson Blu property and just management was changed recently.. Property is beautiful with big pools, beach facing , good buffet spreads and friendly restaurant/housekeeping staff. But their big let down is the staff at the reception baring the guy who was there on our check-out. And as it is said - 'First impression is the best impression' - I had got the bad one. On Checking In , I was unattended for at least 20-25 minutes even after the reception guy noticing me !! Second , at the same time, I have seen another reception guy simply turning down any request from guests even without patiently listening to what they are asking !! May be they got to the heads that guests will be thronging their property as it is comparatively cheaper compared to other Tala Bay resort- Movenpick. After travelling around for quite a sometime and the kind of properties I stayed , I strongly feel that the reception guys should be properly trained to give the best impression to the guests so that guests can approach them for any minor issues without any hesitation. On the brighter side as I mentioned - * Beautiful Beach side property * Big Pools * Big and delicious buffet spread * Wonderful Restaurant/Housekeeping staff * Big rooms I am not sure if I am back in Tala Bay , I would stay here as I dont want to completely write off this beautiful property for the sake of some bad reception staff. Stayed @216 Happy Travelling !! Ravi

"used to be Radisson Blu."
Went there last year when it was still called "Radisson Blu" and things were great, services were to notch and we had minor issues with checking in (we were a large group and required 8 rooms so thats understandable), however we went there again last week and discovered it has been renamed to Grand Swiss-Belresort, it still had the same "everything" only the name changed, however the room felt a little bit more run down, they seem to be short of maintenance and due to the hotel being fully booked it took them ages to address issues we had with the rooms (The TV remotes didn't work, the mini bars were empty despite it being included in room price and the major issue we faced was the shower boxes where it looks like the silicon insulation has been removed and shower water leaked all over the bathroom floors and created a messy puddle of water and with kids running around that mess quickly moved into the main room) granted these are all minor issues and could be easily fixed... they seem to be still understaffed and maybe overwhelmed with the demand! I will give them the benefit of the doubt and hope they can turn things around and quickly! oh and if you're thinking of staying here, you better reserve your room a few days before... reserving a room 2 days prior caused the price to more than double !
