"Unpretentious, Comfortable Stay"
I really enjoyed my five day stay. Room was minimal but comfortable. Housekeeping did an exceptional job keeping the room clean. Breakfast was limited, lots of variety of the same items (mostly sweet breads), but the coffee was good and hot. Would stay again.
"What a dump - stay away"
Rooms and bathrooms are smelly and poorly maintained (see pics). Overall, every surface could use some deep scrubbing. The hallways are dark, hot, and uninviting. The lobby is being renovated but that clearly misses the point -- it's actually the rooms that should be undergoing a badly needed refresh. Location is good, but that's somewhat irrelevant given that at least half a dozen hotels in the same category can be found on the same stretch of 'Avenida Boa Viagem'. I was fortunate: only had to stay there a single night.
"Poor Attention to Service"
Average hotel. Difficulty getting desk clerk to provide correct invoice. Impossible to reserve a conference room even the manager wouldn't help. Some special person who never showed up that day to help us for a business meeting.
Nice view, but cheaply renovated rooms. Poor recognition of Club Carlson status, and their so-called largest room is quite small. Good breakfast, but strange service (staff keep knocking on the door despite do not disturb sign). Would not return.
"Nice position with low attention to the Customers"
I was in this Hotel for two weeks with a colleague for a business trip here. My firm has a frequent commitment wiyh this hotel for its employees when they come here. Good location on the beach, good food in Nabuco restaurant inside. But In general it feels the missing of a good maintenance, when you arrive in the room after one day working you find inside a huge hot humidity due to the fact that air conditioner doesn't work if the key card is not inside the room's slot. WiFi doesn't work well, very slow. It is often down and doesn'recognize the original PW. I had twice to go to the reception to get a new password. If you arrive 24 hours (Plane delay) the booking is lost. You loose your room between 12:00 PM and o:00:01 AM. They will propose a room upgraded but more expensive because your original room was given to another customer (between 12:00 PM and 0:01 AM '!) Fabio
