"Hotel Has Room for Even More Potential"
Booked this hotel via Bookings.com and had some checking in issues, the hotel was advertised online as being able to pay in cash, but once arrived were informed of an additional €50 per day for our next 3 days stay, because we were paying in cash. This was totally unfounded via documentation from my confirmation emails from Booking.com. Unfortunately this became a bit of a debate, which my partner and I were not going to budge on. They finally backed down on the extra cost, after speaking to a representative from Bookingscom. This did dampen both mine and my partners excitement about staying in this hotel, as the welcome we were expecting had turned sour. After almost 25 minutes of discussions upon arrival, we went to our room to find out the air-con was not working on an extremely hot day out there. They could not fix this and in reflection of the problems since getting there, we were up-graded... That was appreciated as my partner and I were feeling hesitate about whether or not we would be able to enjoy the rest of our stay. Got to our room and it was a pleasant surprise, much bigger with 2 Large TV Screens several areas to sit down and chill or eat, clean fresh, bathroom with walk in shower was lovely and the bed was like a cloud.. Amazing. Very quirky place decor interesting and a great feeling of spaciousness So overall we did enjoy our stay over the 3 days, the hotel was situated ideally, with the train station a stone throw away and all buses to various landmarks and shopping areas easy to reach. No disturbances from other customers or external noise from outside... Very relaxing stay in the end. So the only advice I would give and share with others as well as the hotel staff is that most customers want to be able to have a cup of tea or coffee whenever they feel like and not have to leave the room to get it or order, having this as an addition to the extras in the room, like fridge and iron should be a normal inclusion. Especially if your restaurant and bar closes before the end of the evening and is not open late at all. Tea and coffee facilities would make this hotel reach levels of excellence. Also maybe worth providing a refresher on Customer Service training with the staff, would benefit also.. Did find staff overall helpful in the end.. But the initial start could have been avoided much earlier than it was.
"It is a fun hotel"
Brussels being a center comics for Europe, this one and only(for the moment at June 2017) RED hotel is so much of fun elements in it. The hotel has young energy and very colorful. There are so many cartoons on the walls and pool table and diner style restaurant. The lobby area is so beautiful, young, modern and fun. It is a bit away from the center. It can be far from some people who don't want to walk a lot. For me it was perfect. Love walking. Hotel was quiet. The staffs were super friendly. Breakfast was also great. It wasn't included in my package. But 14 euros wasn't so bad. It is not cheap though. My room was spacious and clean. Loved the design of it. Couldn't ask for more. Although there are some downer side. The main door is only spinning door. So if someone comes with a wheel chair, they have to remove the plant pots in front of the two doors. The rooms don't have water boiling cattle. So if someone just wants to have a cup of coffee or tea, there's no options for it. The hotel is on off the center, so if you are tired and wanna eat around the hotel, you may have to walk a bit to get to where good restaurants are. there are some around it. But not enough. The hotel designed for super modern so the reception area is a bit unusual looking. May confuse people. But for me not a problem. Anyway, it was fun and cozy staying. I am tired of boring looking hotels and this hotel was definitely unique. It is like direct competitor for A LOFT hotel. If you like young and hip hotel, go for it. If it is too modern, then it is your choice. I will say again in a heart beat.
"VERY VERY good hotel in Brussel"
This hotel made me happy - everething was good about it - the room - the food - the service - colorful - different hotel - the breakfast was very good - no food waste there - you choose and order - near to small squeres and small streets - I kan rekomend the restaurang CHOU on 4 Place de Londres - amasing food adventure.
Very modern hotel with great artwork through out. Bed is super comfy, nice restaurant with really yummy breakfast. Located walking distance from major attraction but at the same time in the quite neighbourhood.
"A very cool hotel"
Right in the heart of Europe's political centre this hotel offers a delightfully cool alternative to a business hotel. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and the shower was as powerful as the bed was comfortable. Plug points had USB sockets too (really handy when you need multiple sockets and you only have one converter plug (I'm from the UK). Breakfast was a cheery mix of classics with a twist to contemporary food choices catering for various dominations of heathy eaters and fat friendly too. I didn't try the gym as had no time. The staff were very accommodating and though the uniforms were casual they were in no way relaxed in their attitudes to making you comfortable and catered for. Well done Raddison Red.
