"Rancho Bernardo Inn Spa Day"
I enjoyed the best pedicure EVER at the beautiful Rancho Bernardo Inn Spa! I highly recommend Carol as she was very friendly, professional and gave wonderful service. I LOVED the Butter London nail polish I had selected for my pedicure and later when I went to pay for my service, she had the nail polish already waiting for me to purchase. Such excellent customer service! The Rancho Bernardo Inn is a beautiful resort tucked away in Rancho Bernardo, it's a secret gem. I was married here 4 years ago and return often for dinner and to stay the night. It is the best local hotel/resort for the money!
"Very nice, quaint corporate resort"
Nice place which seemed mostly for those on corporate trips. Beautifully appointed grounds. Very nice rooms in multiple low rise buildings. Very few dining options and only one bar one site. Lots of great meeting space
"We return to the RB Inn again and again! Absolutely love it!"
My husband and I got married at the Rancho Bernardo Inn in July 2006 and have returned to the Inn every July to celebrate our anniversary. Some years, we’ve visited for Sunday brunch, other years for lunch on the terrace or dinner at Avant. This year, we were fortunate to visit the Spa and pool. What a delight! We had the very best day kicking our feet up and lounging all day in the sun. I can’t say enough positive things about the resort, amenities, wedding venue, or staff. Jane Ulyshen and Martin Salazar went above and beyond to make our 2017 visit perfect in every way! We love the Inn and can’t wait to return in July 2018 for our next annual visit.
"Double bogey on service"
Stayed here for a conference but our SoCal summer vacation started on the bunker. After about a 40 minute travel from the airport, we arrived early just around lunch time and asked for an early check in if available and the guy (Tommy') who checked us in said that it might be a couple of hours anticipating a few rooms to open up which we were okay with. Did indicate to contact me by a call or email and NOT text but the customary welcome text still came. So we went to the Cafe and grabbed some sandwiches and strolled along the golf course. Two hours went by and no update so I went to the desk and asked the lady (Brey) who was standing beside Tommy earlier, now says a different line saying that they were full yesterday and might not be able to check us in even though we've seen 2 parties already ushered into their rooms who came after us. Another hour passed and the heat is getting to my children so I asked again if there was any room available at this point it didn't matter where but my biggest problem is that there seems to be no effort to proactively check on the status of the room cleaning and another guy that I spoke to, Ryan, said that the room was undergoing "final inspection" which would be about 20 mins and should be ready soon... and yes by this time it was 4PM. This is a huge property so I cannot imagine how a small request for an early check in be not accommodated. As we entered our room, i was shocked how small and old it was. As we freshened up, the stand in shower did not drain well so called maintenance only to have him removed a lot of hair... and this was supposedly "inspected". My wife tried to contact the manager the next day and did not get a call back. The grounds has that serene Spanish-style rancho feel, the room service was great except that no one picked up the remainder of the leftover dishes until our checkout day. The Aragon ballroom was huge. Pools were fine, glad they had a minibar there which was convenient. The golf course looks good so this resort might cater well for golfers. When we were checking out, their system was "down" so did not get to review my statement unti the next day. We can overlook the dated room, the noxious toiletries but the service dropped the overall experience to a real subpar. Never going back here.
