"Excellent Service of Reception Office"
My friend and I stayed with the hotel for 2 nights in October. The hotel is centrally located in the old town. Note that as no vehicles can enter that part of town, you will need to lug your suitcase across a very short distance to the hotel. The hotel room assigned to us was very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast spread is simple in a cosy dining room. The service of the reception office was exceptionally good. The 2 ladies we talked to (at different times) were approachable, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. They provided us with clear directions on how to get to the different sights, help to book a slot for the Parliament Building tour and helped us book our train tickets to Brasov etc. We were extremely pleased with the warm and excellent service rendered by the front office. Thank you.
"Comfort in the heart of Bucharest"
Small hotel in an old nice building , very comfortable, big rooms, big bathrooms with everything you need to rest . Great cozy breakfast , very clean and great helpful staff. No luxury , only the conform you need to rest and discover the city. They can help you with taxi from the airport if you e mail them as well. As tour guides .
This hotel is very cozy, clean and chic. The room is spacious, the bed is very comfortable and the room is clean. We had a tasteful breakfast brought in our room. The hotel is in the center of the Bucharest, it is the best place where you can have a lot of fun. Is in the heart of the city.
We were on a tour of Transylvania with Untravelled Paths. I’m listing the places we stayed here for anyone else on a similar tour with UTP – enjoy it you’ll have a fantastic time. They were responsible for all our accommodation and booked some excellent hotels for us. We started in Bucharest and then went on to Brasov, Balaban, Crit, Sibu and, returning to Bucharest for a further four nights. This is a very comfortable hotel. We had a big room, on the first floor, looking out over the street in front of the hotel. The entire room was very clean and the towels and bed linen all appeared almost new. There is a fridge, tea and coffee facilities and plenty of storage. The window opens and has a fly screen so it can be left open overnight and the room is air conditioned. However the floor squeaks. It is impossible to walk across the floor at night to go to the bathroom without waking you partner with the noise made by the floor. The street is also very noisy and it is impossible to sleep with the window open - fine except the a/c didn't blow cold. The bathroom looks as if it has been newly fitted and is more than sufficient. The one problem we found was that the bath taps are at one end of the bath with the shower head at the other; the tube from the taps to the shower is stretched across the bath. However this was a very pleasant and well located hotel and I would be quite happy to return should I happen to be in Bucharest.
"Location is NOT ideal if you want to sleep"
What they don't tell you is that the hotel is right in the middle of the nightlife district, and is neighbors with a dance club. The music was so loud I could hear the lyrics, and it remained that way well into the early morning hours. Luckily I had earplugs. In addition, as is common, unfortunately, they equate pushing two single beds together with one full sized bed. It doesn't work that way, especially when there are two duvets, one for each "side" of the unified bed conglomeration (and mind you, the duvets were really short -- not even long enough for my body (I'm 6'4")). On the other hand, the room looked nice, the staff was helpful, and the burger I ordered in the restaurant was delicious. Stay here if you're looking to party. If you aren't, you might want to look somewhere else.
