"Good Value Business Hotel"
This a comfortable and convenient hotel for visiting downtown Seattle. The staff is helpful, and the service is attentive without being overbearing. The hotel restaurant served a good breakfast on a Saturday morning, but the dishes could have been cleared faster. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The bathrooms are clean and functional. The parking is expensive as one expects in Seattle's downtown core.
"Modern hotel, great location! "
Nice clean hotel with restaurant and meeting spaces. Modern decor and amenities throughout. Location is great and within walking distance of Pikes Market and Union street. It is very close to the highway so I recommend I high room on the far side of the tower to avoid road noise. Food was excellent and they do not charge room service fees for pickup at the bar. I would stay here again.
"Convenient and comfortable"
Super convenient to business district. Nice hotel with good size rooms. Bar is nice, but a little pricey. Club lounge was great. Only issue was that the mattress on my bed was kind of shot. Not a huge issue as room was otherwise very nice, but was an adventure wondering if I was going to roll to edge of the bed and fall out because the springs were broken. Would stay again, just not in room 1024.
"Great family stay "
This was our first stay at a Marriott property after years of only staying at Starwoods. (Well technically 2nd after a recent stay at the new Autrograph collection Douglas in Vancouver). Typically in Seattle we would stay at the W or Westin, but with 2 young kids the Renaissance offered a bit more space at a competitive rate. We were on a higher floor in a king corner unit which offered a well appointed room and a nice view. We were in the highway side but didnt really notice the noise. Our SPG gold status was recognized when signing up to the Marriott program so we received free upgraded wifi and complimentary breakfast both mornings, which was of course appreciated. Overall the staff were wonderful. Particularly the guys at the 515 bar, Stephen made a mean whisky sour and his buddy minding tables was great too. Both good dudes who made a few late night cocktails more enjoyable with their hospitality. The breakfast staff at the buffet on the 2nd floor were also great. It was packed out and they were all hustling. Only wrinkle was waiting for an hour after calling down to guest services for some champagne flutes for the room. Eventually we just went down and got them ourselves. This is a good lesson in expectations management. Both times I called down and was told the wait would only be 5-10 mins. If I was told an hour initially I would have just gone down in the first place. But again, a small thing in what was otherwise first rate service. Oh yes the porters and doorman were all excellent as well. Helpful and very friendly. We will return to the Renaissance. Great location (2 minute Uber to everywhere, don’t mess with those hills!) and great staff.
"Seattle Valentine trip"
This is a great location. Easy off the I5. Room was perfect. Great city view and even peek at Lake Union and bay. Staff was very welcoming and went above and beyond to get us the perfect room. We arrived early and they got us into s room, which gave us some time to explore. Parking garage not super easy access with bags but doable. Just valet worth the extra 10.
