"Everything was great here!"
The recently renovated rooms are spotlessly clean, beautiful, and luxurious. The rooms are quite small, and only one person at a time can stand in the bathroom. The club lounge for Marriott rewards people is nice, with a spectacular view at sunset. Breakfast there was also very good. Staff was friendly and helpful.
"Excellent location and hotel"
positives: - excellent location in the downtown area. it is at the top of a hill which might be an issue if you are not 'inclined' to do hills. :oD ....Seattle is pretty hilly though so if thats an issue tithe city might not be best for you. - Hotel is on a par with the other rennaissances/marriotts etc i regularly stay in... this chains hotel do have a nice characterful decor. - Gym - excellent size - multiple treadmills and free weights. - Good food (although expensive breakfast buffet at over 29 dollars incl tip.) - Nice downstairs bar ...and well tended by ken who kept our drinks flowing but wasn't intrusive - seemed like a very nice fella. Downsides: - only real grumble (although i never raised it with anyone) was the windows were very grubby on the outside that did affect the view....very minor issue for me. I didn't really care. - reception were nice and i asked about getting to the baseball later in the week - the responses were very short and polite...not too informative; The following day i had a meeting in the sheraton, asked the same question and they were brilliant giving me more information, including printed directions, advice about times and alternative ways of getting there etc. - Wifi was free as a marriott rewards member - i don't think it is otherwise. Overall good. i'll probably stay there again when i return later in the year.
"Great hotel in the heart of the city"
I recently stayed at the Renaissance for a work-related event. Despite a little remodeling happening, everything was clean and comfortable, the staff attentive, and the location perfect. It was easy walking distance to the conference center, as well as several good restaurants and bars.
"Great hotel with excellent service "
Located in the downtown area convenient to Pike's Market by cab. Restaurant on site but we only ate at the Marriott Lounge. Very helpful in helping us to find restaurants we wanted to eat at and suggesting tours of the area. Reasonable price for the location and type of hotel.
We stayed here before and after cruise. Both times they had our room ready when we got there. On one stay our air was broke in our room and they moved us very quickly. they have a nice little breakfast cafe on the second floor, they also have food in the bar area at lunch and the evening. We walked to the Piers and Pikes Market from the hotel, not a bad walk, but probably not a walk for an elderly, alot of hills!
