Boasting an exclusive location, Riad Algilà is composed of three historically significant homes from the 18th century, which have been renovated in a beautiful Moorish style. Decorated by some of the city's best artisans, this truly Moroccan retreat showcases comfort, history, attention to detail and intimacy.
Surrounding 3 patios complete with fountains and corner lounges, the 12 rooms and suites feature several diverse atmospheres. With its three residences, each with four rooms and suites, the Riad is ideally suited to groups and families, who can rent out a whole residence.
Guests can start every day with breakfast on the sunny terrace while admiring the incredible view of the Medina of Fes. Adorned with Berber rugs, plasterwork, carved wood details and canopy beds, the terrace is the perfect place to savour a mint tea and home-made Moroccan pastries.
Delicious private dinners from a traditional menu can also be enjoyed on one of the three patios, in the lounges or on the rooftop terrace upon request.
For ultimate well-being and relaxation, Riad Algilà boasts expert staff offering treatments with natural products and essential oils, including argan oil, rose extract and orange blossom.
Tucked away on a little alley in the Fes El Bali District, Riad Algilà is close to all the city's hotspots. Guests are just a 15-minute walk from Nejjarin Fondouk and Medersa Bou-Inania, while Al-Karaouine University and the Tombeaux des Mérinides are 1.5 kilometres away.

"Tranquility midst the Medina of Fez"
We stayed in Fes for a total of 3 nights and enjoyed Agila Fes Read immensely. Hooda ( not sure if I spelled her name correctly) and her staff provided 5 stars service from beginning to end. We felt like we were amongst friends while staying there. The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable and the food was delicious. The Riad it self is tucked away from the main alley in the Medina so it provides an extra layer of quietness. There are hundreds of Riads to choose to stay in Fes, the value you receive here would be difficult to match elsewhere.
"Family-friendly rooming arrangements"
The other reviews will tell you how beautiful the riad is and how attentive the staff are to your every need. This review will touch on the fact that very few riads in Morocco strike a balance between family-style accommodations AND the beauty, service, etc. The Algila Fes has connecting rooms: for example, a double suite and a junior suite combine together to allow families traveling with children to really spread out and relax. The staff will also re-arrange the furniture and beds to accommodate your needs; want to swap out a double for a full' Yes, it's possible! All you have to do is ask. The Wifi signal is strong throughout and also provides fast internet connection speeds.
"A wonderful adventure of discovery!"
We had a wonderfully restful stay; Fatima and the staff were so helpful and able to answer a whole range of questions and we were made to feel very comfortable and welcome. Fatima arranged a tour guide for us and a porter for our cases at each end of our stay. Houda was very approachable and she filled us in on all sorts of information including details of concerts for the Festival of Sacred Music. We will definitely go back to this Riad!
"Beautiful, Quiet Riad, Great Staff, Good Location."
The beautiful rooms and picturesque rooftop dining drew us to this Riad. The staff was very nice, spoke great English, and really went out of their way to help us during our stay. I fell sick, and they helped us with multiple requests going above and beyond what we needed. They also provided a nice intro about the city and good restaurant recommendations. Breakfast on the roof was the perfect way to start each day. The location is close to a really nice restaurant, and a short walk from the medina's two main routes. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. If you need to get to a vehicle, you must walk 5-10 minutes (Depending on your pace) to get to the closest street where cars can travel. The only thing that could be improved is that Wifi was a bit weak in our room. I am guessing this is because of the thick walls. It was a nice oasis in the bustling city of Fes!
This wonderful riad is located in the heart of the Medina and was easy to find on foot from Bath Square where the taxi let us off. There are signs pretty much the whole way. It’s beautifully decorated and the staff is very professional and helpful. Our room was very large, the bed comfy, and the shower nice and hot. We had breakfasts and dinners on the roof deck terrace, and the calm aura of the riad was a welcome reprieve from the busy Medina. We enjoyed mint tea every night. WIFI was spotty. Dinner was quite expensive at 25 Euro per person, a far cry from the 10 Euro total that we paid to have dinner in the souk the second night in town. A bit of a mildew smell on the pillows and sheets. Typically my husband is very sensitive to the scent of mildew and I am not, but in was more than faint. All in all, the riad was very nice and peaceful and we really enjoyed our stay.
