"NICE HOTEL, BAD LOCATION, BAD BEHAVIOUR, BAD MAINTENANCE"
We stayed at this hotel 5 days (4 nights) last week, between 1st-5th of May.. The hotel location is real bad. it is located out of the city, beside a main road with a heavy traffic during rush hours. it have a beautiful pool and good health/spa club, but they will charge you 10 euro for using the pool for 24 hours. the hotel restaurant is great, and uses also for the good breakfast. at first, we got room no. 4011, at the 4th floor. it took 1.5 min for the hot water to get to the shower, and 15 seconds every time we close the running water and open it again. we couldn't use the shower water at full power, because the water were going up and out of shower. The day after, we paid extra money to upgrade the room and got room no. 10023 at the 10th floor. the air conditioner, which was working the day before at the other room, stopped working at the new room. when we asked the people at the reception to know what happend, they told us that there is a major problem with the air conditioner at the whole hotel, that should be fixed within 24 hours. the weather was 25-30 deg. that situation continued 2 more days and every day we got the same answer. After we asked to see the manager, she came and told us a very different answer: "The hotel policy is not to turn on the air conditioners at this season". Not only that the stuff at the reception were lying to us for 3 days, they didn't even find the way to apologise and tell the truth. i assume the hotel policy was to try and save some energy/money, but considering the hotel bad location and hot weather, i would expect them to turn on the air conditioner, instead of let the hotel guests sweat at nights. wifi is poor at the hotel rooms we stayed. the service stuff live you only one toilet paper every day, so if you need more - you have to call the reception and ask for it. poor behaviour for 4 stars hotel.
"Super hotel with the worst staff"
The hotel is wonderful and the rooms also. BUT there is a BIG problem with the staff. They don't have good manners, lack of informations about the hotel and very strange behavior. Ex. 1.In my first night the minibar was opened and I could use the fridge. In my second night, the staff closed the fridge with a key !!!! Telling me that if a want to be opened I have to pay 100ron although I use it or not. 2. I left some clothes to be cleaned. The staff informed me that in the evening it would be ready. BUT ... in the begging they told me that they lost it, after that they found it but they didn't clean it and FINALLY they gave it to me after 2 DAYS !!! Of course paining 50ron for the SERVICE.
"Very good hotel"
Very clean and modern The toiletries are best quality Rooms are large and comfortable There are lots of elevators that run quickly and silently Great variety of food at breakfast Overall decent food, nothing special but tasty Badly connected with the city center given the fact that the traffic in the area is terrible There is a shopping center right next to the hotel
Rin Grand Hotel is a large hotel on which everything is about the size, not the quality. Pro: Can accommodate a huge number of guests, one of the largest hotels in Europe Many conference rooms(both large conf rooms and small ones) Good spa, especially the pools Decent WiFi Cons Very poor food quality, was embarrassed that some of my business colleagues suffered food poisoning(don't touch the fish by any means) Poor trained staff, most of them speak English poorly and they seem overworked most of the time Conference rooms poorly equipped Extremely slow elevators All in all, the quality offered does not meet by far the requested prices, will definitely avoid it for the future business workshops in Bucharest.
