"Satisfied, you get more than you pay for."
I have stayed several times at the Rio when visiting Las Vegas. The rooms are spacious and clean. hot water has been a problem the last couple of times I have been there. Beautiful view, good food. I enjoyed the sports book room.
"Masquerade tower is “Okay”"
Buddy of mine and I came for a guys weekend. Picked the Rio based on great deal from rewards options. We went to the Ipanema tower by mistake and then found our tower. The Ipanema tower seemed much nicer. Our room is spacious. The decor is a bit dated, but it is clean. Bathroom fixtures are low end. The beds were acceptable. The pillows are rock hard. A big minus. There is a lot of road noise all night long on weekends from W Flamingo Rd. Recommend staying in odd numbered rooms in Masquerade tower. Overall we are happy based on the room being almost free. I would be very unhappy if I were paying more than $50 a night here.
"No reasonable dining"
Checked in and asked to be near elevators. We were put the farthest away possible. The keys were mixed up with my aged parents and we were unable to change rooms. The resort fees were $34 a day and I still had to pay $10 to use the sauna. We were not impressed with service.
"Begeys in Vegas"
It was a fun hotel to gamble in and the seafood buffet was excellent!!! We hung around after the buffet in the gambling areas with a bunch of friends and we had some good luck! All of us said that we would go back again! It was also a nice touch for the hotel to have employees helping us out of our taxis, and welcoming us to the hotel!
We stayed for a week. Our room was good albeit slightly tired but we enjoyed it. It's quite a walk away from the Strip and certainly don't walk it at night. However there are shuttle buses every 30 mins but they get very busy! If you buy a RTC bus ticket ($6 for 2 hours, $8 for 24 hrs or $20 for 3 days), then the 202 stops right outside the Rio and goes straight to Strip on side next to Caesars. The food selection was okay and we didn't try the buffet as it was $34 per person! The All American Bar and Grille was our favourite...burgers, steaks, lovely food! Staff were helpful and very friendly. All In all we enjoyed our stay here and it isn't as noisy as people made out - in fact we didn't hear any noise and had a peaceful stay in our room. Thank you Rio.. 😊
