Stayed here over the weekend and it went from better to better. we were greeted by a lovely ladies on the desk very pleasant & helpful. we wanted to change or room from a king to twin bed and the manager (Johanna) was so nice about it she also in formed us of where the best bars was, where good to eat how to get the day bus pass just any question we asked she was willing to help with a friendly way (and the was 8 of us). Our room was on the 11th floor with a harbour view with absolutely breath taking views. The room was a great size very clean with robes, slippers plenty of towels just all things you would want in a room. towel was changed daily a free water was away stocked in the mini bar. If your not a Marriott member you do have to pay for Wifi in your room and the safe is free. we also had breakfast which we booked when we arrived for 15 euro a day pp. you had a good choice of food and drink. only bad thing I can say is that they could refill the hot buffet quicker but they did when we asked. Bar staff was all so very helpful and friendly over all i would come back and stay here in a heart beat.
Stayed here with my wife and son, great location overlooking the harbour and palace, staff were friendly and helpful and the buffet breakfast was great, the hotel caters for all with a swimming pool on site and beach close by. The hotel restaurant is good with reasonable prices, however there are other restaurants close by. The hotel is located on the border with Monaco so if you are fit you can walk across the imaginary border or grab a cab. The rooms are pricey but have look where you are. The only down side is you are charged for your wifi unless you have a Marriott rewards card. I would definitely return to this hotel.
"Overpriced...tired rooms...dubious services"
Just arrived for six nights, very pricey, for a room that has old carpets (no slippers), torn wallpaper, crooked lampshades, slightly smells and even the pillows give off that sweaty man smell. The location is nice. But the elevators are slow and there was not even an offer of a porter to help me to my room with my 5 bags. Could be much better for the price. Up your game Marriott please.
This is a nice hotel that is located right on the border of France and Monaco, under the shade of a mountain, next to a harbour and right opposite the Monaco football team stadium. It is about a 45 - 50 minute walk to Monte Carlo but the hotel do offer an hourly shuttle van that drops you off by the Casino - but does have to be booked in advance. Although this was a business trip - its easy to get to other areas in the south of France e.g. Cannes, Nice etc. We did this by train as the train station in Monaco is not far from the hotel. Onto the hotel itself, it is a good hotel - though clearly has been around for a while. The rooms are OK - nothing to complain about but nothing outstanding either - but of a good size. The hotel has a pool and a very small gym. The breakfast buffet is nice - and its nice to have the option to be able to sit outside overlooking the harbour. Overall, a nice hotel - but don't stay here if you want to be in the heart of Monte Carlo.
I have to say that I haven't stayed here yet, but they have been so kind to me. My 16 year old son and I were to travel to Europe in August 2017. My son had a freak accident (broke his back) 3 days before we were to leave on our trip. I had to scramble to cancel everything, and no I didn't have trip insurance. This hotel was so kind and offered a full refund, wished my son a speedy recovery, and was all around kind.We are planning a trip for June 2018, and will definitely plan on staying here and thanking them personally for the kindness.
