Room Mate Alicia is located in the central Plaza de Santa Ana, in the district of Las Letras. Enjoy a perfect location in the cultural, gastronomic and entertainment heart of the city. From the hotel, you can easily reach several of the main city attractions since it is just 5 minute walk from the Puerta del Sol, 10 minute far from the Prado Museum, the Bus Tour and the Retiro Park. Moreover, the hotel is connected with the closest metro stations of Sol and Sevilla.
The airport is 14 km from Room Mate Alicia.
Great location!!! Friendly and helpful staff. Clean. The rooms facing the interior are not so good. avoid them. the rooms facing the street are better but may be noisy on weekends. breakfast is not great. you may find much nicer options outside.Comment of G. Avraham , Israel the 2015-10-13
"An exceptional city base."
We booked the Junior Suite (303) on the third floor with corner window overlooking Plaza Santa Ana. The double glazing was completely effective giving us a calm quiet ambience, the suite was immaculately clean and extremely comfortable. Situated in the heart of the old centre and we were surrounded a plethora of Restaurants, Bars and Theatres, for what isn’t within immediate walking distance, then Puerta de Sol is only a few minutes walk away and the terrain is easy and flat. There you can pick up the Metro, an assortment of buses, to the Madrid tour bus. The Staff were pleasant, and extremely helpful and full of useful advice. I am afraid that with such a choice of eateries close by we didn’t try the Hotel breakfast therefor unable to comment, ditto the attached Sushi restaurant. We spent a wonderful 4 days exploring Madrid from an exceptional base with no fault to find.
"Cool vibe, comfortable stay!"
Love this hotel! It was our first Room Mate experience, and we were very impressed. We had a duplex terrace room, which was spacious and very comfortably furnished. Spotlessly clean too. Also appreciated the inclusion of a yoga mat and some hand weights. The breakfast was excellent, and as a tea drinker I was very happy that loose leaf tea was provided.... a rarity in these tea-bag prevalent days. A huge shout out and thank you to the lovely staff, particularly Salva and Paolo, who made us feel so welcome. Highly recommend this hotel..
The hotel was clean, the staff are friendly, but our room is bit small and strange angle ...but is ok, first day The door form The bathroom is so noisy, so may husband toll that to The receptionist, and yes they where Vera good, as when we return they already fix it. nice place as it was almost in The middle OF everything, right beside By Sta Ana Square, which was lots OF Cafe y bars. Vera accommodating, and I highly recommended this hotel.
Stayed for 3 days. First the positives. Fantastic location right by the Plaza Santa Anna with lots of restaurants and cafes and no more than 10 mins walk from the numerous attractions. Even though it's on a busy Plaza it's was very quiet at night and there is an underground car park opposite the hotel entrance offering good discounts for longer stays. Spotlessly clean and very good quality bedding and an extremely comfortable bed and I'm very fussy ! . Good breakfasts and served right up till 12 for the late risers. Reception desk couldn't have been more helpful and always prepared to show you how to get to the numerous attractions and which direction to walk. Wifi in room very good and also will supply you with free mobile wifi to take out with you if you need it and it's free. Not many negatives. Rooms rather small but guess this is a city centre hotel and shower is in the bedroom which I guess could be a little difficult for those sharing. Sink was running at a dribble whilst shower water pressure was fantastic and lots of hot water. Could do with supplying slippers in the bedrooms as some of the flooring is tiles and can be very cold on the feet. Finally nice big bath towels but rather rough fluffy ones are better ! All in all good value for money and so close to being 5*
"A Perfect Location in Madrid"
Great location, 10 minutes walk to Prado and to Casa Botin. Nice hotel with great modern art in lobby. Room nice but unusual in that there were no drawers, just lots of shelves. Makes leaving something less likely. My wife loved the amenities, made her hair feel better (not available commercially). Breakfast was fine. Clerk who checked us in was really nice, convinced us to go to a wonder tapas spot, Casa Gonzalez and took care of our boarding passes. Our room overlook a square with a lot going on and it was very quiet.
