Hôtel parfait surtout grâce au tarif proposé par Prestigia. Très belle chambre vue mer, petit-déjeuner suffisant, Balcon et parking "offert"Comment of M. JACQUES , Belgium the 2016-05-03
We visited Le Royal for my birthday weekend. The staff could not do enough to make us feel welcome. We had a free upgrade to a sea view room with champagne on ice waiting. The room was fabulous, with dual aspect sea view. The room was perfectly clean and spacious. The staff went above and beyond at all times. We drove over to Deauville and used the valet parking. Great value for money, safe parking and our luggage was seamlessly unpacked and packed whilst we relaxed. We will most certainly be returning, we thoroughly recommend. Thank you to Azun, who made us feel especially welcome.
"A Fantastic Destination Hotel"
I stayed at the Royal while attending the American Film Festival in Deauville. It was one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. The double room was large and luxurious and the service was impeccable. The lobby and the adjoining bar are tops, although pricey. Breakfast is a grand experience. I have also stayed at the Royal's sister hotel, the Normandy, and found the Royal to be slightly the more refined of the two. This is a great hotel! Only one possible downside, depending on when you go - no air conditioning. They provided me with a large quiet fan when I asked on a warm day. There is a lovely pool, and also an excellent gym for a French hotel.
"Taking you to other era!"
Lovely hotel with great character from another era. Although ruff on some edges due to time, the ambiance of the hotel offers a nice journey to France as it used to be. I would definitely return as the small city has a very nice feeling and a lovely beach that should be great in summer.
"Good service but room could be improved"
Found the staff and service good but my room was clean but looked tired and dirty in places as per others reviews the strangest thing about the room was having a seperate toilet which didnt have a hand basin to wash your hands in, instead you have to walk back through your room and into the bathroom, which isnt very hygenic The Bathroom, it was a good size but no proper shower, only a stupid hand held thing which is totally impratical as if like me you much prefer a show to a bath also the white panel above the double glased windows was very dirty The taps should be replaced for better grip and decent thermostatic control and finally the desk chair, it gooded OK but sit on it and the backs of your legs dig into the wood frame, so clearly not enought padding in the seat cushion "The nespresso coffee machine in your room is free to use" said reception..........that was true apart from the fact there were no Nespresso coffee pods to actual make a coffee!!! all this for the whopping price of 630euro, i think this was way to much but being where it is location wise and probably hiked up during the film festival, what do you expect'''.......just glad it was a company expense and wasnt coming out of my own money
"Amazing hotel / perfect for the American film festival "
I really enjoyed my stay at the Royal. Old, classy and beautiful. Great service. Friendly staff. Food and drinks were expensive as hell. The location is perfect. My room had a beach view but I actually prefer the view of the town. The gym is adequate. All in all I loved my stay in Deauville and would highly recommend the Royal.
