"Just what needed Hotel"
It is an ok hotel to stay. Centrally located close to old town with lack of parking facilities. Rooms are okish only. Room service is poor and didnt do cleaning for a day. Breakfast was excellent, which is one of the good thing of this hotel.
Worst hotel I ever stayed in. 5-star self proclaimed. Been here three days. No one puts down the beds, refills necessities like shampoo, changes used glasses in the room, no fresh towels. The reception blames cleaning, and no one seem to find them. I just left all my garbage and towels in the hallway, hopefully someone finds it there' I have already been to the reception with my dirty glasses and a wine bottle. Three times on different days I have asked for service. And the wallpaper is coming off the wall in the bathroom... Never coming back and recommend you stay away too. Five stars.....
"Okay hotel "
The hotel is placed very central in old town, but not possible to park the car. Rooms looked old, first we got a room with 2 single beds, but we were offered to change the room. It was very cold at the room. We needed to iron clothes, it was not possible. The breakfast was nothing special.
"Mostly very good but some glitches"
Initial reception was excellent. Very helpful. Room was very nice. However, my travelling companion could not get into her room each time we returned to the room. Her key had to be re-programmed, about 10 times in a 3 day stay - such a nuisance. Room service staff were thin on the ground, due to illness - so they were servicing rooms between 4 and 5pm each day! One day my room wasn't service at all. The next day, arriving back at 4pm, no-one had freshened up the room. I called reception and two girls were sent up. I had to give them a list of what my requirements were i.e. Majestic the bed replenish shampoo, bottled water. They seemed a bit clueless. The breakfast room was very stylish and had an amazing glass floor, over a very old well! Certainly a talking point. The selection of breakfast items was good: cereals, fruit, juices, coffee, good selection of teas, scrambled or fried eggs etc. Croissants, etc. The restaurant Desiderata was not open in the evening. A small eating area next to the bar served good meals and was quite reasonably priced. I wouldn't say thiswas a five-star hotel by world standards - but it was pretty much 4 star, particularly if staff awareness was improved.
Location - could not be better - centre of old town All good restaurants within minutes walk Breakfast - very good indeed - lovely setting Hotel is not 5 star - 3 to 4 at best Housekeeping - below average
