"Day Pass for our Cruise Stop: HEAVEN ON EARTH!!!"
I can't recommend this place highly enough! We purchased a day pass to Saint John for our day in Mykonos on a Norwegian Cruise. Neither my husband or I are big into group tours and we wanted to have a relaxing day in the sun, and this was the perfect choice! For about 60 Euros per person we got a full day's access to the hotel, breakfast and lunch included, and transportation to and from port. It turned out to be an outstanding experience and a great value! Our driver picked us up on time at the port and whisked us away to the resort. Note that he'll be waiting for you where all of the tour buses pick up, so if your ship is docked on the other side you may need to walk a little ways (about 100 yards)! Once we arrived, we were greeted by the front desk agents, who were prepared with everything we'd need to explore the grounds. They showed us some information on the map and then set us loose to enjoy our day! First stop was for breakfast at their large buffet. The space is gorgeous! Bright and airy, with huge windows overlooking the pool & sea. The food was absolutely delicious and so fresh; they had a huge selection of fresh fruits, meats and cheeses, breakfast pastries, amazing greek yogurt with multiple toppings, fresh-squeezed OJ, the list goes on. They also had a complimentary coffee bar that was really good and I'm not even much of a coffee drinker! Service was excellent and very friendly. After breakfast we walked out to the pool area and chose a pair of sun loungers. The "bed-style" ones looked luxurious too, but after we sat on one we realized the platform swings a bit because it's hanging from the frame--might be very relaxing for some people but I thought it might make me a little seasick so we decided to go for the stationary loungers instead :) They were amazing! Seriously the most comfortable lounge chairs I've ever laid on. The saltwater pool was sparkling clean and cold--but it felt incredible in the heat! Just like the rest of the island (and most of the Mediterranean, in our experience), there are kitty cats around! They roam quietly and didn't seem to bother anyone, but if you're afraid of cats of have some kind of severe allergy just know that a fluffy visitor may try to come say hello to you at some point during your stay :) The resort grounds are absolutely breathtaking. Perfectly clean, immaculately maintained, gorgeous views everywhere you look! The resort is super quiet and very peaceful, but still has enough going on (pool area, restaurants, beach, watersports, tennis, game room, spa etc) that I'm sure there would be plenty to keep you busy if you wanted to do more than just zen out all day. We didn't spend any time down on the beach but we did stop by on our walk around the property and it was beautiful. Very clean, with the same cushy loungers as up by the pool area. If we'd had more time there I'm sure we would have posted up on the sand for a while too! Our included lunch at the pool bar (pizza, pasta, salads, traditional greek food) was not quite as noteworthy as breakfast, but it was still plenty yummy and the service was great! My husband also got a massage at their spa (100E for 60 minutes I think') and said it was very, very good. We were sad to leave this place and can't wait to return again someday. If you're looking for a relaxing, luxurious way to spend a port day in Mykonos on your cruise (or just looking for a beautiful resort to vacation at!) you won't be disappointed in Saint John.
The view is amazing! Comfortable and beautiful setting! Extraordinary service! Delicious food! Great experience! We came at the end of the season... few people and perfect weather! Definitely We'll come back!!! Highly recommended!
"Perfect in every way"
My husband and I enjoyed a 10 night half board break at this lovely hotel We were in a suite with outside jacuzzi. Coffee making facilities in the room. Very comfy bed. 2 bottles of water provided each day. Fresh sheets every couple of days. Towels changed twice a day. Housekeeping kept the room spotless Huge selection for breakfast and all very good and always fresh and piping hot We love the choice of using our evening dining anytime from lunchtime in either of the restaurants which didn't restrict us from eating out in different restaurants in the evening Waitress service around the pool for drinks Towels provided for the poo/ beach Always beds available as this is the type of hotel where guests reserve loungers in the middle of the night - loved using the canopied swing beds Salt water pools There are plenty of loungers at the beach again with waiter service- be aware if sitting close to the sea hang all items from the parasol otherwise you are at risk of everything getting soaked by a wave There is a courtesy bus into Mykonos old town running hourly but gets filled fairly quickly so arrive early as you cannot book seats. Public transport runs fairly frequently into town which can be caught at the end of the road or taxis are euros 15 each way There are two lifts which take you from reception to the restaurants or pools/ beach or you can walk Dinner in the restaurant changed from a la carte to buffet in September - this is the option if half board or if paying you can select from the menu- no need to book as open from 7-11pm but advisable if you want a table with sea view Drinks both in the hotel are fairly pricey but we found the same in the restaurants in the Old Town The only comment we would make is the bathroom needs updating. Both the shower and tap in the sink dripped throughout our stay The staff are amazing and so welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble Having now visited 17 Greek islands, we found this one to be the most expensive for food/ drinks and clothing
"Memorable visit in June 2017"
On arrival the staff were all friendly and helpful. The room was clean as was the bathroom. All one would expect from a 5 star resort. The balcony was a little cramped as the table and 2 chairs filled it. However we immediately felt relaxed and welcome. The restaurants and service were excellent. The food quality and the unique evening dining experience were wonderful. The salt water swimming pools were clean and there were always sun loungers available. A special thank you to Joanna the Maitre d', Costas the artist waiter, Apostolis the wine waiter and Lakis in the lunch time Restaurant. The rest of the staff whose names I do not know, were also outstanding with the friendly professional manner. We had the added delight of befriending the Chef's wife Katarina and their delightful daughter Anastasia. A lovely hotel in a beautiful setting
"great view and stay"
spent a week here in september and were very happy. the hole resort is on a hill, probably with walking problems, this is not the best choice. Breakfast was great and with halfboard you could coose lunch or dinner. In my eyes lunch was much the better deal. :)
