the traffic at the front of the hotel is very slow ,because the Road blocked for maintenance. front desk did check in efficient ,Room little smaller than i thought,but the bed is comfortable for me,which is fine.high recommend buffet Restaurant , the sashimi very fresh and tasty. over all it's not bad at all.
"A TWO NIGHT CALM OASIS"
Stayed two nights as part of our tour of China -you start to feel good as soon as you bus stops in front of the hotel.The busy streets are taken over my a nice landscaped garden and a smiling welcomes you enter into the hotel.The room was very large with a nice view of the golf driving range & the gardens, well furnished and the bed is huge ( slept like a baby) -well laid out bathroom. The lifts are super fast & quiet & one always seemed available -not true of every hotel we stayed at. Excellent breakfast with numerous options both Western & ChineseService level was excellent..We loved our stay at the hotel -a little sad to leave but the tour must go on.
My wife and I were recently staying at Shangri-la Xian ( 5 hours from Beijing by train ) for 2 nights as we would like to visit their famous 8th world heritage by UNESCO : TERRA COTA MUSEUM We booked horizon club king size room # 1804 with the access to Horizon Club Lounge. The room itself is just having an average view, the size of the room is not spacious and the room has just a very standard furniture ( If I have to rank 1 to 10 with 10 is superb, I would rank this as 5,5 ). The phone operator hospitality is not good, the cleaning service staff is not smily, tour guide to Terra cota provided by the hotel needs to improve the english proficiency so that foreigners like us could fully understand the history.. We tried the Chinese food at their hotel for 2 nights consecutively and we were satisfied.. You must try their signature dishes ( shaanxi noodle and their fried rice ).. What a dish... Speechless.. Thanks to Alan Pong and Tina Hu who had been assisting us specially... They know how to please the customer... I recalled that we ordered one dish on day two and we did not know at all that it was eventually considered as a spicy dish...Tina Hu quickly ran to the kitchen and brought us two bowls of clear soup and even offered us for the juice to alleviate our spicy.. What a good service they performed... We even got 15% discount for their nice gesture.. The horizon club is just average not spacious .. Just so so... view is also not spectacular... We encountered one experience : My wife wanted to eat the boiled egg which is not provided in the horizon club at day one. and Emma wan showed her extra-mile action by asking the chef to specially prepare and provided the egg on day two .. My wife was happy. Emma Wan is very attentive and became our guest relation and service manager.. Overall, the hotel itself is just average... It did not leave us memorable experience.. I hope that the hotel could improve the service
The hotel is pretty good,the hotel tour is very interesting,half day tour terra cotta tour is vey interesting,we like it very much,thank you Angel Li suggested me join the hotel tour,she is very nice,thank you the hotel staff!
"Good hotel choice with excellent service"
This is a nice hotel with a beautiful outdoor garden. Great service (with the exception of the late night check in guy). The rooms are large, room service is good. The breakfast was rather ordinary. The location is a downside, there is nothing around and it is about 15 mins in a taxi to the city walls. Lifts are quick, nice lounge/bar area.
