"Lovely hotel and staff"
We just can’t say enough wonderful things about this hotel!! We were welcomed by the staff as soon as we stepped from our taxi. The front desk staff were wonderful, especially David. Our room wasn’t ready yet so we had lunch at the Palm Court. The food was delicious! Because we were recognized as SPG members, we were upgraded and had a lovely room overlooking Green Park. We were also allowed in the Club Lounge where all the staff were very welcoming. Especially Alessandra and Greg and so many more but I can’t remember their names. The breakfast selections were excellent! We had afternoon tea in the Palm Court and that was amazing! Paulo the manager came and explained everything about the tea and the different selections. And then there was the concierge- we dealt mostly with Richard and he was outstanding! Helping us book various things, helping us with the buses and the tube. He was wonderful! We had some interactions with other gentlemen at the desk such as Stuart and they were great too. Great location, right across the street from Green Park, a short walk to Buckingham Palace, not far from the bus stop, short walk to Green Park tube Station and a black taxi always seemed to be close by! There was always someone in the hotel to assist you no matter what time of day it was. This was a very special trip for us and the Sheraton Grand London Park Lane Hotel made it even better!! Thank you!!!
"Nice venu ok service"
Nice venu organized by my company.staff wearing white gloves but this is just a nice picture. They weren't proffesionals in this industry at all.not much i can add. Bread was cold and hard. Starter plate looked nice but way too big for table. Everything was just look like but unfortunately not even close for what we call silver service....
"Afternoon tea in The Palm Court"
Fantastic service, amazing food, excellent service and beautiful surroundings. Best afternoon tea we've ever had, worth the trip to London for. We chose the menu with unlimited bubbles !! They topped us up regularly , no skimping. There was also a choice of sandwiches or a light meal, we had omelette which made a nice change as you do get quite full with sandwiches and all the pastries. An amazing selection of teas, I think 27, The staff were very proud of the history of the place and the service was second to none.
"Very cosy and nice rooms "
When u see the reception it was small and very ordinary but the rooms were spacious and very nice. The bathroom was spacious with all the basic necessities given. It’s really nice hotel within reach of central London. I felt it was value for money The breakfast was average but we had lunch at their authentic italian restaurant, though they took forever to prepare it, but it was very delicious. The concierge and door persons were very helpful.
"Definitely a Grand Hotel"
This is top class Hotel to use as a base while in London, or to visit for a meal or - the exceptional 'Afternoon Tea' experience. The staff could not be more helpful or welcoming, we enjoyed our stay from the first to last minute. The location is perfect, surrounded by parks and some incredible architecture. It is not cheap, but it is definitely value for money. We got a chance to see the original art deco ballroom and it is a a wonderful example of the style and class of the swinging 20's. The food was delicious and we will definitely be back. A Grand hotel indeed.
