"Friendly staff, excellent service"
My experience at the Sheraton Miami airport has been an excellent one. The staff, in particular Danny, the manager, will makes you feels like you are at your home away from home. He will help you out with any concerns, and travel needs. He went beyond his call to make my experience in the Miami area and in the hotel a memorable one. All the staff provided an excellent service with a friendly warmth of Miami and a big smile. If you make it to the bar to have tasty bites, such as the delicious Mahi mahi sandwich or just go for some drinks, say hi to Victor the bartender. His warmth will uplift your day and if the bar isn’t to busy you will have some fun conversations. The proximity to the airport is an ideal situation when traveling. The hotel also provides a free shuttle service that is constantly going to the airport, making it extremely convenient. I only had to wait a minute on the airport curve to get picked up by the hotel’s shuttle. Rooms are comfortable and clean, allowing me to have a restful night after a long flight. I highly recommend the Sheraton Miami airport when traveling and plan to book a room here on my next trip out of the Miami international airport.

Our original room had a few flaws that we weren’t comfortable with but the staff took good care of us and moved us to a much newer and nicer room once we spoke to them. Victor at Mbark (the hotel’s bar and restaurant) was wonderfully charming and made us feel very welcome. He’s also a great mixologist that knows his stuff! The hotel is lucky to have him. The staff members at both Mbark and The Rickenbacker were very kind.
This hotel offered excellent service,the rooms were clean and neat and beautiful reception area with complimentry coffee and tea which was great.All staff were friendly and the hotel kept my luggage for 5 days whilst i went on a cruise ,would definitely visit again!
"Hotel is closed by telling us and Expedia they are open"
I had this hotel booked for October 5th-October 6th 2017. I called multiple times after Hurricane Irma hit Florida and each person I spoke to told me their hotel is open and taking guests. I had Expedia confirm it as well and I received an email on Sept 21, 2017 that it was confirmed with the hotel that they are open and "good-to-go". I called Thursday June 5th 7am CST to ask details regarding their hotel shuttle as we have reservations for the same evening and arriving at MIA. The lady I spoke to told me to arrive at MIA and call them, they'd send the shuttle as they are 5 minutes away. I arrived at MIA by 6pm on October 5th and called to get the shuttle. The lady at the hotel told me to go to level 2 and flag the shuttle down, she'll tell them I'm coming out of American Airlines. So we did that. We waited almost 20 minutes outside the airport looking and waiting for this shuttle. I called them back as they are super close to the airport and we were not sure why it was taking this long to get a shuttle. I called the hotel and another lady who answered asked me if I have reservations there. I said "yes, I have confirmed it many times", She told me they have been closed SINCE HURRICANE IRMA HIT and will not be open till the end of October. I could not believe what I was hearing. Not only had I called multiple times to confirm our reservation, Expedia confirmed it, and I called twice that same day!! Now my kids and us were waiting outside MIA with no hotel to go to!! We called 3 hotels in the area and all were booked full. We tried the Hilton in the Miami International Airport and it was booked full. I finally found us a hotel for the night and paid an enormous amount as you can imagine as it was a same night booking!! This hotel did not take responsibility for their actions and we were stuck dealing with a mess. I have started trying to figure out what happened and I am not done dealing with this hotel. But so far their GM and another person at the number listed on their hotel website kept telling us they are open. They don't care about their customers! They only care about their money and clearly that is why they kept saying they are open - so people keep their reservations and they are secretly hoping their recovery process is done in time. And when it's not - like it wasn't for us - they don't care how much the customer has to pay for find a last minute hotel in a busy city!! UNBELIEVEABLE!! Go stay at the Courtyard Marriott Dolphin Mall!!! They took us in and they are clean, welcoming, and their Bistro has AMAZING food. Thanks for nothing Sheraton!! I will keep escalating this issue until someone takes responsibility for the mess you imposed on us. People in your corporate office and customers all around should know what you're doing!!
